The hotel is not far from the railway station and the center. About 6 minutes walk. Not expensive. Good to spend 1-2 nights. Unfortunatly, no lift.

Simple but good

Fantastic low budget hotel. I got a really warm welcome at check-in. Breakfast can also be provided if requested. My room was at the top of the building. It was adequate  hot shower and clean linen. Nice clean bathroom. Spare blanket if needed. 

It is an old style hotel, warm and friendly. Good wifi. Close to restaurants a supermarket and rail station.

Reservation made by booking. arrival at 4:45 pm person... door closed.... bell. calls.... no response. cause despair qppel a booking info pouf: they did like me calls in the void. finally it is a neighbor who told me that the owners lived on the spot and after checking that there was no car in the parking lot: hotel closed without word wur the door without notifying the booking site: great professionalism!!! so much to say I DO NOT RECOMMEND

What can I say?

Hotel well placed, clean and priced. Good for overnight stays, but old fashioned decor, demanding bathroom, available and useful owners.

Affordable and well-placed

Very well located, quiet, clean but old room and small bathroom (especially the diagonal bathroom next to the shower and 30 cm from the sink); but for 51 euros, 2 steps from the centre and restaurants, it is interesting.

Interesting value for money

Very satisfied with this small hotel. Very well located, less than 10 minutes from the cathedral and therefore from the center. Very welcoming couple. We went there for my little girl's baptism, and we were even kindly fitted with the necessary clothes to change our clothes! Proper breakfast, clean and functional rooms. Pressure in the shower. We were placed in the back, room 1 on the first floor, and so no noise. Excellent ratio/quality. For the elderly or people with reduced mobility, ask for a room on the ground floor, because there is no elevator. This hotel has met all expectations. Plus: TV screen in our room. A flat screen recommended!

Clean, welcoming, well placed

Let's start with the positive: very good location for this hotel. Now let's move to the negative points: We didn't find the warm welcome that was described in the comments here. We can't even say that the rooms are renovated at least, not ours. The carpet is worn. The bed makes no noise, the bed is clean but they are old sheets, the ear covers are not matched and above all the covers have survived, as well as the spider canvases above the bed. Also when you walk into the room the floor trembles and the cabinet moves. The room is a little wet, the peel is very shallow. There was nothing to be done on the floor at lunchtime, but the bathroom has been very dry.

Ok, so we stayed at budget hotels all over France this trip, but my husband's reaction was that this was a dump.  Not quite that bad.  I liked the wallpaper, new and stylish.  The bed sheets were red and looked like something from the 70's.  The door wouldn't close unless you locked it.  Our friends' room had a perfumey smell which we traced to a plug-in scent unit.  Unplugged! The bathroom had a swinging door that opened both ways.  Good thing, because there wasn't any doorknob.  We had to ask for a second bath towel, twice.  The family that operates the hotel uses the lobby as their living room, which is bad in that you can't use it, but good in that they are there a lot to help out, or just greet you when you come in at night.  Don't try a late check-in.  You can park on the street in front, but it's limited to 2 hours during the day.  We parked in a garage around the corner, then moved in front 2 hours before the end of the parking restriction.

Clean budget hotel, okay for one night

This hotel is cheap and VERY close to the town centre which is what we wanted but that is kind of it. My partner and I felt it more like a hostel due to the layout and room quality. 
The owner seemed okay, he was not rude, but not polite, we had to make our own way up 2 flights of creaky stairs to room 5. Big enough but there was a damp smell which we realised was because the shower ventilation went straight into the bedroom and the radiator didnt turn on at all so it was cold. The bed was really comfy though and I slept like a baby! Always a plus. The bathroom was a tiny student style closet with a clean but maybe worn shower curtain and about a foot of space between shower and toilet. Not quite what I imagined from the photos.
We were offered breakfast but we arent morning eaters so we didnt bother.
Overall it is a case of get what you pay for, pay a bit more for luxuries of space and bathing facilities or budget and forfeit these.

Not terrible but not terrific

The hotel is in a good location in a nice quiet street in the old part of town walking distance to the train station and everything else (Reims is not a large town ! )
The owners do not speak much English but they are freindly and professional. 
The room is smallish with a separate small bathroom, but quite adequate. Our room was decorated with bright green and silver wallpaper so the feeling was fresh and light. Room was very clean but I did find the bed a little lumpy.
Ive stayed in worse rooms and paid far more than this. For what you pay, the room was totally acceptable
