I found this place on Tripadvisor.  Believe the reviews.  It is wonderful.  I made reservations later and cannot believe I was lucky enough to find it.  Arvin was super communicative and there when we were ready to check in.  He gave us an overview of the apartment.  It is so roomy with a little kitchen area with table, a couch and TV and a separate bedroom.  I was a little worried about it not having AC, but it wasn't an issue even on the day it reached 88 degrees.  We left the curtains closed during the day and at night it cooled down really nicely.  Arvin also provided a fan in the bedroom that made sleeping comfortable if not even a little cool.  The apartment is 50 feet from the metro station and another 50 from a bunch of great eating/drinking establishments.  The location really can't be beat.  You are right on the street, but noise is not a problem because the bedroom is located in the back of the apartment.  Once you shut the door, you really can't hear anything.  One thing you may want to be aware of...we were on the second floor.  On the first floor was a couple with a baby that was a very light sleeper.  They complained that we were walking too heavily.  We are small people and tried to be considerate so I felt like we spent a lot of time tiptoeing around.  I think they still complained.  Just something to keep in mind.  If you are a super light sleeper, maybe select the top floor if available.  Keep in mind this is an apartment.  There is no elevator, just narrow stairs up.  I really think it is one of the best places to stay in Amsterdam.  I can see how it has a 5 star review.  Thanks Arvin for the perfect apartment to stay in!!

Wonderful find in Amsterdam

Spent 5 nights here in May, extending our stay from 3 nights in a very posh and pricey hotel (the Toren) and were delighted with the location, the lively neighborhood and the considerate host with his helpful recommendations. Rooms are spacious, huge windows (bed is in the back so nois not an issue), all sparkling clean and so well designed. A bargain and a home-like base. Walked to everything.

Lucky we found this bright, stylish place!

We came across this place when looking up ibis on booking.com. This place was also centrally located but was 3x bigger and much cheaper.

On checking the reviews, there were no bad reviews! Seemed too good to be true, but the place is actually amazing.
 
Location:
You can't beat the location...4 minutes walk to Amsterdam Central and on a quiet lane right off a main bustling street full of bars, coffee shops and restaurants. Couldn't get a better mix of quiet and bustling.

Space:
The room is actually a small one bedroom apartment! There is a kitchenette, refrigerator, living area with a TV and the bedroom with the attached bathroom which is really spacious.
The apartment is very aesthetically decorated.

Amenities:
The place is well equipped with a Nespresso machine, coffee pods, tea bags and small snacks.
It has an ironing board, hair dryer with a diffuser and a dish washer.

Arvin the host is one of the friendliest hosts I've ever encountered! 



5 star room for 3 star prices

Our first time booking an apartment as we normally stay in hotels .. so after finding this apartment on booking.com  and reading previous reviews on Trip advisor we decided to book.. Well it didn't disappoint it's just perfect in every way.. location was spot on and a lovely host Arvin will give you any advice on places to eat or drink also apartment is spotless and so quiet ...we will definatly be back to visit some day Amsterdam and would definitely stay here Amsterdam  was beautiful 😃❤

Beautiful apartment and perfect location !!!!!

Perfectly located from central amsterdam and the central train station (8 min walk to both). It's in a quiet location, but yet there's everything you need like atm, grocery store, cafe's, and restaurants near by. I was able to walk to all the sites and neighborhood from this apartment. VERY SAFE. 

The apartment was super clean, modern, and spacious. I'm picky with bathrooms and this bathroom as VERY clean and the showerhead worked very well. Even though, this is an apartment, there is cleaning service every day at around 3 pm. The small touches of fresh orchids, tea, coffee, and stroopwafels were very welcoming! There is also toothbrush/toothpaste, lots of towels, utensils, silverware, and almost everything else you need in terms of amenities.  

Communication with Arvin was amazing and he is downstairs in case you need him or have any questions. He gives you a map, tips, and list of restaurants. 

I would highly recommend Arist House and would defintely book again!!

EXCELLENT LOCATION AND STAY!

Visited here last year and stayed with Arvin for the first time seeing as a lot of the other apartment owners have hiked their prices. 

Unsure as to what to expect, but pictures and previous reviews led me to believe this would be a comfortable stay. Needless to say I wasn’t disappointed. 

Arvin was the ultimate gent and made myself and my mate feel very welcome from the beginning. The apartment itself was spotless and location was top notch. Whilst it’s right in the center of the action for those who want to explore Amsterdam... the street its situated on is really quiet with some nice eateries and coffee shops close by. 

Would definitely recommend and would stay again without a doubt.

Nice apartment and Superb Host! 

On reading the reviews before arriving I was sure this place was too good to be true. It isn’t. All the reviews are accurate. An unbelievable place to stay, with one of the best locations in Amsterdam. I won’t go into the details because it’s personal, but the owner, Arvin, went above and beyond for us, more so than any place I’ve stayed anywhere previously. Great guy, great location, great place. Hope we can stay there again!

The reviews don’t lie...

We stayed at the Artist House for a week. Every day housekeeping did a wonderful job and the complimentary stroopwaffel and fruit was a lovely touch. The location is superb, just outside the door is the square with everything within walking distance. We were driving in and arrived late, but we were still graciously welcomed. We would definitely stay here again!
