On the one hand, you don't want to hurt the operators - but on the other hand, you want to have something for your money. A completely overwhelmed operator has the faxes thick. Money worries everyone - but as a service provider I have to stand there when I sell my guests - hospitality - MUST. In doing so, you don't have to move investments decades in advance. The location of the hotel is TOP. Rooms at the back were supposedly not offered as an alternative due to water damage (requested on the first day for another 4 days) So it was nothing to do.

In other words:

Great location to the old town! That would be the only advantage. Small noisy rooms. Steep stairs no elevator. 15 years of renovation jam. Recessions would be too much work! Zero Bock more. Psychic corona victim! Shame! So still book and bite teeth together!

Oropax is good!

She says she doesn't have a phone to scan the QR code of our health pass. She explains this because  doesn't want to invest in gadgets . So she will ask you to walk to a shopping mall to take a PCR test to make sure that she won't have any problems with them too. Humiliatingly, the authorities threatened to raise the full amount if we refused the PCRDE then we were allowed to scan the QR code perfectly due to the full technical regulations of the European vaccine system.

Unconciliatory engine

This hotel is run by non-professionals, horrible hospitality, 40 minutes to understand how it works and have the key, slow and suspicious, the rooms offered, no elevator, old, sad, poorly decorated, staircase carpet discolored, dusty plastic flowers. Bathroom molding. After a day's visit to this small town, we go home at 6pm, room not repaired, the boss with your unpleasant room gives the maid the night, offers us to change the services, they tell her that for the price we're waiting for a repair room, she insists that she has an RV in 10 minutes, so we decide to leave the hotel.

Go your way

The hotel is a pure family business and you notice that the work is done with a lot of love. You will also be very friendly as a hiker (after 15 days of Eifelsteig). When I checked in, I was provided with all the information. Since no breakfast is currently being offered, I was also given several addresses, where a breakfast or even just a coffee is available. The Astoria Hotel is small and seems a little dusted. The rooms and the staircase are furnished with colorful wallpaper and carpet floors. The small rooms are equipped with the most necessary shower/WC. What I also noticed is that cyclists could park their bikes in a corner of the hotel. I would choose another staircase.

Home hotel near the Porta Nigra

Has gone downhill since the virus ---- clean room but place bordering on shabby --- hotel's parking not available and NO BREAKFAST was a surprise; was not really made clear on website -- wont go there again

NO longer a good place to stay

The entrance to the hotel has that decrepit atmosphere that for some is charming.Antigua decoration, old mattresses, spacious spaces.However, the owner's delightful treatment of hitting the cabreada counter because she did not want to accept any card that was not master because it meant a loss of 5 percent (explanation that accompanied voices and pitches) put quite a note due to the trip.The hotel Astoria will remain, like its furniture, anchored in the forgetfulness.Absolutely inadvisable.

Completely desaconsejable.

Astoria Hotel in Trier is a lovely hotel very close to the city centre. Paula the owner went out of her way to help me when I left a bag on the train,which contained my medication. Paula helped me fill in a form to the railway which resulted in me getting my bag back and also helped me get another lot of tablets. The hotel was very comfortable with a great breakfast. The welcome glass of champagne was greatly appreciated.

Great and very helpful owners

I gave this place five stars-no it isn’t a « five star hotel ».  It is a good place to get a nice night of sleep and breakfast.  The owner bends over backwards to be helpful.  I arrived early and he invited to use the bathroom, stash my belongings and while I parked in their nearby garage, he made sure my room was readied.  The hotel is three minutes from the main area of tourist interest in town and though I had barely heard of Trier, it is not to be missed by tourists.  The room was small and clean with a simple bathtub.  Had the place not been dirt cheap, I would not have rated it as highly.  So what does this place do to earn my rating?   Clean,cheap, well located and exceptionally warm and friendly.  I suppose if I had paid more, I might have gotten a larger room, but how much room does one person need?

Very friendly place

While location is great and breakfast is good we found staff to be unfriendly and room very small and uncomfortable.  The room was tiny and could hardly turn around in the bathroom.  Breakfast room is nice and breakfast is good.
