When we arrived, the housewife Maria welcomed us with drinks and coffee. The triple room and bathroom were very clean and very spacious. Bath with fountain and shower with closure; warm water at will. Well rested since the area is quiet. The buffet breakfast varies greatly both sweet (croaissant, butter, marmalades, yogurt, cereals and other sweets) and salt (hammer, sausages, cheese) and fruit, juices etc. It is 20 mi walking distance from Piazza dei Miracoli and outside the ZTL. Without further ado we will return here in our next stay in Pisa

Top hospitality and kindness

If the Hotel Maria is located directly at the train station and is therefore more than 45 minutes' walk from the sights of Pisa and therefore not necessarily recommended by the location. The hotel is clean, has very small rooms and the built-in showers are so small that they are not actually usable for normal Central Europeans. Breakfast was okay for Italian conditions.

Very simple, clean hotel.

Having booked flights to Pisa we looked for somewhere to stay for the first night and the return to the airport. As it was only one night incoming and outgoing we did not do a lot of research but we found a gem.
First having arrived at the airport we could immediately access central Pisa by the newly built Pisamover rail shuttle ( relatively cheap and very frequent). From the railway station B&B Maria is a very comfortable 10 minute walk on flat roads. It is very easy to find being alongside the River Arno and well signed. Maria and her husband are excellent hosts with Maria speaking some English and her husband being fluent in English, German and French.
The property is an ongoing refurbishment  although there are no signs of this to disturb visitors and as a result the rooms are very clean, modern and attractive. Arrivals are welcome with drinks and invitations to eat from the selections of cakes etc.
Maria makes every effort to make guests comfortable and happy.
Other reviews have made mention of the noise and it true that the accommodation lies directly under the flight path for Pisa airport but flights stop at 10:30 - 11:00pm so sleep is not disturbed.
This place is a real bargain for the traveller and I suspect will become even more popular as word spreads and more rooms are made available. Maria and her husband deserve all the success I believe will come to them.

Wonderful people and location

B@b Maria is a decent guest house to be called one of the best and most comfortable places in every sense to sleep, get yourself in order and see Tuscany :) A very nice hostess who is genuinely concerned about everything, including the comfort of beds and the taste of breakfast:). Beautifully decorated house, I looked at it and noticed the taste of the hostess. Clean comfortable bedrooms, like in Italian cinema. Convenient location.

That's good.

Nice place, very clean and well maintained. Its strength is the proximity to the Piazza dei Miracoli (Piazza del Duomo): 5 minutes walk. There are 3 rooms: one larger with bathroom in the room and two smaller with shared bathroom.

One step from Miracle Square

My mother and I were guests of Mrs. Maria in September 2013 (then 4 years ago). I was there because I had to take the entrance test and I couldn't find a better place to spend those days. Mrs. Maria was very kind and really very available to us, made me feel at home and helped to ease the (not little) tension. She also accompanied us to the place where I did the test, which otherwise I could not reach being not far from the b&b. Her varied breakfasts would satisfy even the most capricious palate and exchanging two chats with her was always very pleasant.

I recommend this B&B in the style of Liberty, very welcoming, plenty of breakfast, very kind, and available lady, she accompanied us to the airport, near the center, and the San Roso nursing home, if I go back to Pisa, I'll gladly stay here again!

Intervention

I was at home. Clean, bright and refined environment with a royal breakfast. Mrs. Maria is very polite and generous and friendly! A very pleasant person. Near the villa there is the supermarket, the beautiful Emma hostel, ethnic restaurants and it is 10/15 minutes from the Tower. A short walk from the historic center that is worth x running away from the storm. It is closed in winter.

Myth of Miss Mary

We were staying in Pisa for our last night in Tuscany. The B&B is pretty, neatly decorated and very clean. The owner gave us a great welcome, really very kind. The problem is really the noise, between the planes, the German shepherds in the yard, the train, the factory and the road at night was not at rest. A little bit out of focus but the historic center accessible on foot (passing under the tunnel on the other side of the road)

My girlfriend and I spent a night at b&b maria. There are parking lots right outside the house, but the location is very central. 10 minutes walk to the sloping tower. The first impression of the house was very good, really nice and decorated, inside it's very pleasantly cool which is really GREAT advantage. The room was also very nicely decorated, the bathroom very clean. The two negative things: 1 barking dog in the neighborhood garden.
