Excellent quality price ratio and above all, beautiful figure of the hostess: person in fashion and very available. The cozy and spacious room hosted us for only one night, but the comfort and tranquility of the place made us regret staying only for one day. A few steps from a pearl of the Mediterranean, Tropea, makes it ideal as a holiday hospitality.

Home in Calabria

I recommend this B&B because it's quite cozy, very nice owners, history lessons, which is really nice and especially because it's really close to the center of Tropea.

Pleasant location

We stayed in this B&B for 10 days with our babies and another couple with as many children. The very spacious, clean room, located on the third floor...and with the luggage, without elevator, well, it was a non-indifferent stabbing, as well as all the other days. Breakfast was served on the first floor in a nice terrace but not before 8 in the morning (one day we had to skip it straight to make the excursion to the Aeolian Islands) and this turned out to be a late schedule, because, being just ferragosto the risk was no longer in place!

There's better, but honest quality/price.

We stayed two nights with this baby, the room was definitely not a baby room but one of their private rooms since it was full of personal items and there were clothes in the closet, there was no fridge in the room.

A break in Calabria

Romero was a good choice. Located in the heart of the village, 5 minutes drive from Tropea. Spacious rooms, very clean and with nice terrase. We stayed 4 nights, were asked to change the room after 2 nights due to some reorganization. We first did not like the proposed alternatives but at the end the owner made her best to give us a room we liked. Breakfast is standard italian, but dont forget to visit the butcher in the house selling nice grilled chicken and good choice of wines - as a bonus, he speaks good English!! In the same house you can also meet a German lady living there for about 13 years who organizes trekking tours in that area. Definitelly something very handy given that maps and guides are non existing. 

Good choice for your vacation

We stayed only one night on the way to Reggio Calabria, after having taken a tour of Tropea. We had no references but decided to stay with the kindness and hospitality of the lady who attended us. The place is simple yet pleasant. The rooms are austere but comfortable and the hotel has parking. The breakfast is homemade although somewhat limited. As for its location, it is very close to Tropea. Finally, it is recommended for the traveler who wants to make a stop along the way on his tour of Calabria.

B&B is simple yet pleasant.

Great B&B. The owner Romero was great and offered lots of great suggestions for sightseeing as well as great restaurants. Rooms were clean with great antique furniture and all the necessary amenities. Close to the most beautiful seaside locations like Baia di Riace e Formicoli, and the main town of Tropea and Capovaticano, Strongly advised for families with kids.

Welcome home!

We only stayed one night passing through but would gladly have stayed longer. The value for money was incredible. Very nice staff and clean spacious rooms. We were two adults and two kids of 3 and 8 staying in the family room composed of two separate rooms with double beds and a nice and clean private toilet in between. The huge balkony was a nice to have bonus. Breakfast could have been better but was ok for the buck.

From the small piazza in Santa Domenica centre (about 100 meters from BB Romero ) there is a nice little playground. From the piazza there is also a street leading under the railway towards the ocean. The many stairs leading down through the cliffs to a very small and beautiful beach is well worth the effort. But make sure to leave the stroller at the hotel if travelling with small children.

Value for money

We stayed for three nights at the BB Romero. It was marvelous! Delicious breakfast with toasted bread, cornetti, jam etc., very clean rooms (ours had a wonderful bathroom) and Romero's a fantastic host, entertaing his guests and helping where he can. The beaches are also just great, withsand and rather fine stones and the water's incredibly clear blue!
I recommend to go there with your own car though. there isn't a bus to Tropea (as there isn't much going on in Santa Domenica in the evenings you probably want to go there) and you need to walk 15-20 mins to the nearest beaches.
All in all it was a fabulous stay and we will go back one day for sure.
