B&B Villa Elisa

Exceptional for movement and convenience

Villa Elisa is an old historical villa positioned in the small Italian town of Meta with very few tourists, which made it more appealing to us. The room we had was clean and spacious, with a balcony overlooking the garden.  Breakfast was very good and varied, with fresh fruits, cooked eggs, croissants, etc. Giulia, the owner, was very hospitable and went out of her way to help us during our stay. When we first arrived late in the evening, she dropped us off by car at a nearby restaurant in the town centre; which is about a 15 minute walk away from Villa Elisa. 
There are two very good pizzerias in the town centre; Mazz & Panell and Annare. Also  an outstanding pasticceria / coffee bar with an amazing selection of cakes and pastries. There is a reasonable sized supermarket and cash machine, and all of this is within a stone throw of each other.
We arrived in Meta using the Naples - Sorrento Circumvesuvium train. This journey cost approximately €7 (in 2018) for two adults and our 6-year old son travelled for free. You need to check the train time though as it does not run late into the night.
Travelling to Pompeii, Herculanium, Vesuvius and Sorrento is cheap and reasonably quick providing you check the train times beforehand. From Sorrento we took day trips by ferry to Capri and hydrofoil to the island of Ishia. Also the Sita buses run from Sorrento train station and using these you can reach beaches on the Sorrento penisular and Amalfi coast. 
We had a very enjoyable stay at Villa Elisa and felt our holiday overall was very good value.

Good Value, Friendly and excellently positioned for exploring Pompeii and Sorrento

It's the third time we've stayed in this facility in years and we've always been super-cocked. Everything very neat. Breakfast is the highlight! Marmalade, sprinkle salty foods all with a wonderful view of the orange garden.

This B&B was the second stop on our honeymoon and is located in Meta. The B&B is located quite close to Meta beach and is around the corner from Meta train station. From the train station, one can quickly access Sorrento (10-15 minutes) or travel to the ruins in Pompeii. The B&B room is beautiful, spacious, and clean as the villa is very traditionally decorated with high ceilings. We had a wonderful stay here and enjoyed the easy access to Sorrento and Pompeii. The recommendations from Giulia for Meta and Sorrento that we received were also great.

Lovely! Second stop on our honeymoon.

What a delight it was to be in out of the elements and in such lovely surroundings of this old italian villa. Guila, our host, welcomed us warmly and showed us to our room. It was at the front of the building overlooking the street and the Basilica Pontificia San Mario Del Lauro. The accommodation was lovely as per the booking site and reviews. A good breakfast with some of the best scrambled eggs. 
One problem i have noticed with most of the accommodation is the power adaptors don’t fit the wall sockets. I can only presume this is because they are intended as lighting outlets rather than power circuits.

Short or Long stay - excellent

We were enthusiastic about this B&B and the hospitality of Giulia! There are only 2 rooms - ours was quite large with windows and balcony to the garden and was very quiet. Air conditioning, refrigerator, TV is available. Breakfast is very lush with freshly fried eggs, cakes, fruit from the garden etc. - great! Giulia advised us on excursions and even when we were in need of time drove us to the port of Sorrent. The location of the B&B is very good to explore the tourist highlights of the area without a car - the train station and bus stops are each 3 minutes' walk away, so Sorrent, Caprium, Pompeji, Neapel or even from the Strand of Metapron and we have arrived with a few moments of stress and a few minutes' departure from Zoland!

A great B&B for Sorrent, Pompeii, Ercolano and Vesuvius.

Dont know where to start. Giulia the owner is the best host we ever had. Upon arrival she offered to help us with our massive suit cases. ( I didnt let her) Both of the rooms, we and the other couple rented were immaculate and large.  She cleaned the rooms and made the beds every day. We had great breakfast every day (towards the end we were wishing she would vary a bit the food.) While she may not do this for everyone she volunteered to do our laundry for a fee.In two occasions we used the backyard to have a few drinks and some food. If you dont mind dogs friendly Cleopatra is around and will roll over for you. Im sure your sister cant do any better. Great value! Thanks Giulia.

Our experience has been unbeatable. We spent 1 week and Giulia, the hostess, treated us greatly. We felt like home or better. The room was very spacious, just like the bathroom. Always clean everything and with a small minibar and wifi in the room, as well as air conditioning (though we didn't use it). The beds were very comfortable, essential when you were out all day selling things. The breakfast was abundant and complete: hojaldres, pan with marmalade, yogurt, eggs, embroidery, scrambled eggs and some tomatoes from the garden. It is next to the lovesubiana, which allows you to go by train to places like Herculano (Ercolano), Pompeii (Pompeii), Naples (Napoli), Sorrido, which we love to serve in the most convenient area of the city, which we recommend to repeat in the best way possible, and we can do everything we can in the area of B&B.

The best is impossible.

We stayed 5 days in this beautiful place and have only the best impression about the B&B and the host ! Gulia was very helpful and friendly, she helped us to call the airport and get our lost luggage delivered to Meta ! Location is good and convenient to Sorrento city center ( just 10 min by bus or train and the public beach only 5 min away... 
Room was big with double bad and comfortable, very clean !

The owner, Mrs. Giulia, was very polite and welcomed us even though we had arrived a few hours in advance. She was kind enough to explain to us where to leave the car, giving us the opportunity to park in the inner courtyard. Considering that we chose this facility also for the free parking, we found ourselves very well. Unfortunately when we arrived there was a water problem so there was a bit of a trouble because the plumber had technical checks.
