I have booked 3 rooms in this house, which must be distinguished that it is NOT an HOTEL, by location, as we were going to the Festival de Cap Roig and it is a step away. So, despite the bad reviews I read about the owner, I knew it, but under certain circumstances 2 rooms were not to be occupied. If I informed the owner that if he could resell them there, he would return the money to me, my surprise is that he did not put any but, he hung them up on the web, rented them back and rented me the whole of the rooms. So, despite the bad reviews that I read about the owner, and after I saw them, the guy seems to me to be a nice person and I was interested in his last resort, even if he was interested in the idea that he could reside there, he would give me the explanations that the car is being cleaned up.

You have to know what you want.

We went to a group of friends and the experience was unfortunate. The house itself is dark, smells of tobacco and a lock. Upon arrival we saw the dining table with the owner's folded clothes. In the middle of the hall we found some wooden tables from the floor plan and a hammer. The outdoor areas are correct, both the pool and the terrace. It is the only thing, along with the location, that is worthwhile. The host in the house and cohabits with the guests. It is not a bed and breakfast. Amablemte, offered us ice, an encor and a few glasses of crystal. The kitchen was dirty. The reservation specified that we cannot smoke and the house was very clean. Obviously, the smell of tobacco was very unpleasant in the room where we were staying. The room was very clean, and the rooms were all in the bathroom, but we did not want to repeat it, but we did not want to go to the bathroom.

 Shameful

After making a reservation 3 months in advance, the owner called me to tell me that they were overbooking, calling me very badly, and sent me to another smaller hotel in another hotel much better than there is dirty the beds are dirty, the towels are dirty, no gel, no soap, no TV, no sound shared, is dirty and the man is a piece of nose on top of that, putting himself in the overbooking is my fault.

Horrible things.

'Chico', as the owner likes to call himself, is certainly a character and perhaps not well suited to the life of a hotelier. It was more like staying with a long-lost and slightly begrudging relative; shortly after we arrived he announced that he was 'going out with his friends' and showed us how to lock the house up and where to hide the key for the other guests. He smoked constantly, all through the house, even whilst serving breakfast, (cold, stale coffee and cold, stale toast.) To be fair, he did recommend a restaurant in Calella which was exactly the opposite of his place; friendly, welcoming and of excellent quality. Unfortunately, this is the only place connected with 'Chico' that I would pay a return visit to.

More than eccentric, less than a B&B

I booked for 2 nights to attend a concert on 8 and 9 August 2017 at 100€ at night. My first words to Guillermo (the owner) it is not worth 100€! reply: the others are more expensive. Poor rooms, 2 bathrooms for 6 bedrooms, questionable hygiene, paid parking (in kind 5€), breakfast + whatever the medium or quality or quantity. Positive points the outdoor setting, its proximity to the CAP ROIG Festival (300m) does not need to take the vehicle. Like me, other guests had chosen this accommodation for its proximity to the festival for 1 night and paid the 5€ for parking. My opinion is also reflective of the feeling of the people present during my short stay.

What to Avoid

The 1970s chalet with the furniture of the 70s, the one that breaks down when it breaks down, the mattresses, saunas and pillows too, the past breakfast embroidery, the dry and toasted bread on one side and the owner smoking all over the house, are some of the worst experiences you can have in the northern part of the Costa Brava.

Two nights with breakfast.

The owner is an impressionable kid. Everything is very dirty and messy. On the dining table is the owner's clothes folded (shoes included). The shirts on the back of the chair. The house smells of ranch and tobacco. There are several very strong-smelling air conditioners that try to mask it. You have to leave the room key in a box in the dining room, as opposed to anyone. That is, while you are out, anyone can grab the key and access your stuff... so you take it with you when you go shopping. The breakfast leaves much to be desired, and as the house is so dirty, you can eat there. The two shared bathrooms, with the owner, are suited up. Two paid beds, and even when we arrive at the hotel one afternoon, we find nothing to eat.

An assertive experience.

Nice place beautiful site warm welcome suggestion for the owner, a mirror and a garbage can in the rooms would be nice two steps from the Cape Roig botanical garden and small semi private beaches
