The small 5 story hotel lacks only 2 things, a elevator and more options at breakfast.
The beds and rooms are comfortable, the bathtubs are for Vietnamese sized people however.
The breakfast was a kind of farmers omelette and was good. But we were there 3 night, we a trip between the 2nd & 3rd, and that was the standaard breakfast you got, with coffee or tea. So a choice or more options would be Nice, but for a few days this was good.
We’ve had 3 different rooms, due to trips. While away overnight with a trip, we could leave our lugage behind the reception, and just get a new room when we got back (offcourse arranged prior to each trip).

We also booked our trip to  2 day/1 night trip to Sapa here, and our trip to Halong Bay with La Paci Cruises (for those reviews look at other i’ve written). We got the trips for fair prices, and they were good.
They also picked is up from the airport (Hanoi) after the long journey from The Netherlands.
The manager Tam is helpfull and delightfull.

Good and Friendly

We liked the hotel!We stayed with a friend from 24.11.18 to 6.12.18.The rooms were cozy and beautiful.There was a small balcony overlooking the sea and we saw his excitement.The bedding was changed every day, and here was the bedding every 3-4 days.But we didn't care - at home we don't change the bedding every day.The breakfasts were very varied and tasty.Every day the Fono soup, with different ingredients;there was one more type of soup and a rice cashew, as we later realized, in which you could put a fork or dried squid.Always 3 types of fruit, if you stay long tomorrow, you can try 5 types of fruit.On the small 20th floor you can eat a variety of fruits, but you can go to a very high-quality seafood market and eat at the J.R.M. Margall's three-story restaurant, but you can also go to a large variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.

The rooms are clean and cozy, they clean often, they change towels, they put on water and soap accessories, there's wifi, which is very convenient, there's sauna and spa, and there's always a friendly staff at the reception.

The Bonjour Vietnam Hotel

I was booked by travel agent into this hotel, didn't know what to expect really, room was smallish but comfortable for a single traveller, staff were very helpful even when I was offered an umbrella to go to dinner at a restaurant down the street, I said I didn't need one, the reception staff couldn't help a bit of a giggle when I came back soaked, the way it rained the umbrella was no use anyway. Breakfasts were very good, cooked as you ordered. The staff were very willing to assist in any way they could. I used the internet a couple of times, although I think it was a pirated version it worked ok for my simple needs. Everything in Hanoi is within walking distance of the hotel, most things anyway. Overall I found the hotel was just what I wanted. the first time I heard the street announcements and music it gave me a start but it does add to the atmosphere.

not 5 star but a great stay none the less

A good compact hotel, comfortable clean rooms with air conditioning. You can visit various additional places, such as the sauna.

Comfortable hotel

I stayed at this hotel for over 3 weeks and it was like home. I was able to do my shopping and sight seeing knowing that my personal belongings was safe. We took a trip to ha long bay and as a rookie mistake, I forgot my passport in the safety deposit box. I called the hotel and they were prompt with retrieving my passport and emailing the details to the ha long bay hotel. I felt at home with the staff and everyone was very friendly.

There is a lot of businessmen and tourists. The elevator, service, safe, Wi-Fi internet on the hotel's premises, beauty salon - everything like in other hotels. There is always a daily newspaper:) free drinking water, air conditioning. The rooms are very comfortable!

Bonjour to Vietnam Hotel

All staff are helpful, truthful and courtly, especially the receptionist is very kind and responsible. However, the hotel with equipment's very old. Need renovation and restoration. 
Location is good, near the center of Hanoi and so many restaurants around.

that's the worst hotel i've ever been! i arrived at midnight and even if i was very tired i had to ask the reception to change room 3 times!!! first room had water on the bathroom floor around the toilet, safety locker not working and dirty sleeves (i mean i found pubic hair!); second room had hair and third had pubic hair again! i accepted the forth room also if i was freezing (heating not working). breakfast was very very poor! two slices of bread with a very little slice of butter and JUST ONE TEA SPOON of marmelade!!! luckily they had also yoghurt and a banana!!! service was kind but not everyone! when i needed to use internet (they have free access pc downstair) sometimes reception personal was playing with them and they didn't make you room!!!
i really was thinking about calling my travel agency to catch another hotel!
