We have spent our Italian holidays here for years, but unfortunately since 2015 the quality has left much to be desired. While we continued to take a vacation at Lake Garda and try out different accommodations, we have always wanted to convince ourselves personally how the Borgo Machetto is going. Since 2020 a new owner took over this beautiful facility and made it back to the Borgo Machetto we loved it. No wishes remain open and the staff is very friendly!

It's beautiful again.

On the advice of a friend, I came to this place, very easy to get to, very clean, very clean, the manager and staff were very nice, the pool was warm and very clean, an experience to repeat.

It's wonderful.

It was our second stay at Borgo Machetto after 6 years and many things have changed. The resort with the swimming pool was reconstructed,the golf academy and driving range are still under reconstruction but in fact you can practice as you like. 
It is a beautiful,calm,amazing,romantic and charming place. A great choice where to stay when you don't need to be directly by the Garda lake,but just close to it,with a swimming pool and golf academy+driving range. Our room was very nice and clean. 
The staff is very kind and polite,always smiling :-) Although they were not officially open after the reconstruction they let us spend there a wonderful week.

Lovely place

We were guests of this property in October. It is a village in name and village in fact. It is located a short distance from the highway exit desenzano from which you can reach with extreme ease. It has a large parking lot. The room that was reserved for us was located above a small church and was very large with a large annexed bathroom, all extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast was abundant in choices and products. The friendly and always available manager. In short, an experience to repeat.

Pleasant surprise

We found the location on the internet just by relying on TripAdvisor. It's a shame they came back with pictures of a pool that's actually been closed for a couple of years (updating the photos is important). The room is really comfortable, well furnished and clean; it's a shame that the rest of the structure is not at all up to the standard of accommodation.

I thought it was almost worse.

One day was enough to really appreciate the qualities of this place immersed in the greenery with a perfect room from every point of view, a place that knows medieval and with a really relaxing climate, suitable for everyone, highly recommended.

That's great!

I was with my husband and my cousin with my husband in this beautiful place this weekend. I must say that it turned out to be a very nice place run by the friendly and available Gianni. The location is strategically close to the places we wanted to see, namely Brescia and Sirmione. Two steps from the highway it presents itself as a real Borgo with a very clean reception structure with large and well furnished rooms. Good breakfast and an excellent price ratio.

Relaxation and tranquility

We arrived at the facility around 7 p.m. and were greeted by Giovanni, the manager. Despite my forgetfulness, he was more than willing to meet our requests. Being late to the table and having trouble finding a place for dinner, John prepared us a great dinner at a symbolic price.

A magical place

It's a charming place x any type of living room, managed and maintained impeccably by Mr. Giovanni, an absolute added value to the entire structure that is already perfect in itself.

Fantastic.

The structure dates back to the 16th century and has retained its vintage charm. All this thanks to the restoration that has maintained the roots of the past but that has managed to side by side, in a discreet and functional way, the comforts of our times. A special tribute to the current manager sir John for the enthusiasm and energy that he has used, and still deeply deserves, in giving a limelight to this small and ancient jewelry.
