Fantastic place to stay. Loved the lodges and the beautiful setting by the river - really relaxing and enjoyed taking a bottle of wine or two down to the river banks. The restaurant area was great, perfect to enjoy a drink or meal outdoors, and the food excellent. Really great service too. Would love to visit again the future!

Brilliant place to stay!

Mr E and I spent three nights at Cathedral.  The cabin is very authentic in a good way…lovely furnishings and well maintained.  The only item lacking is a mini fridge but beyond that, it is very spacious and clean.  The staff were all very friendly and accommodating.  Food in the main lodge deserves a chef’s kiss.  Continental breakfast plus a couple other options which are different daily.  Had one dinner there once and it also was very good.  

Gorgeous surroundings, lovely cabin

The price point for this "resort" should offer more than what is offered.  First, no ubers or taxi's really operate in this area so unless you have your own vehicle you cant get around.  We were with a tour group and one day we stayed behind.  They offer no lunch here so without the ability to get around there is no food.  There is no closet in the room or air conditioning.  The cottages are small and average.  the property is nice but next to a busy road with noises during the evening.

Nice...but not worth the price in my opinion

We spent 4 nights at Cathedral Mountain Lodge and had a lovely time.  The location is great if you want to see Yoho Park and the Lake Louise/Moraine Lake area but not be in the middle of crowds.  Our cabin was comfortable and the breakfasts in the morning were very good.  The staff was friendly and helpful.  There were a few minor problems, like lights not working in our cabin, the fact that you could not keep the fan on and the overhead light off (they were on one switch), no AC.  And it is very close to the freeway, which was noisy and was visible from some parts of the property.  You definitely feel like you are in the mountains but I did not feel as "away" from things as I would like.  But I would still definitely stay here again if we were in the area.  

Nice place to stay

This is a very special place, the location is great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cathedral Mountain Lodges. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great during our stay but the roaring log fire made the cabin super cosy. All the staff we so helpful, they couldn’t do enough for us, and even arranged a little surprise for our son at breakfast who received his exam results during our stay. The food at the restaurant was exceptional.

Special location, outstanding service

I don’t even know where to start 
I guess at check in which was awesome and we were able to spend some time catching our breath at the river before an amazing dinner. So amazing we made a reservation for the next night. They have thought of e doin the room even a luggage rack that is just a bit wider than the normal one - awesome for duffel bags 
Every single employee was friendly and helpful - even the folks weeding the grounds 
I am already scheming to come back

Amazing

I had planned to move on after a few days but this place was so amazing we extended our stay for another week. What an incredible location and welcoming place to stay. I hope to come back some day again.

We stayed for 3 nights, ate in their restaurant 1 night, and had their excellent, huge breakfast all 3 mornings.  All staff were friendly and helpful.  The room (a King) was large, comfortable, heated with a gas stove/fireplace that was very effective, and had a front porch with 2 Adirondack chairs.  There was an area outside of the restaurant to sit and relax and also several Adirondack chairs down by the shore of the Kicking Horse River that we made use of.  It is very convenient to the Falls, Emerald Lake, Field (do eat at Truffle Pigs Bistro - the food there is inventive, reasonable, and delicious), Lake Louise, and the shuttle for lake Louise and Moraine Lake.  You can get a complimentary pass to use at Moraine Lake for free canoeing (normally $130/hr).  Just a beautiful place to stay - no TV which made it even better as you really felt connected with the mountains and nature.  We highly recommend it!

Heavenly

Stayed here two nights as part of our tour and it was wonderful! Had our own cabins which were nicely decorated and the heat worked! Very clean, if you didn’t look under the bed which I try to avoid where ever I go. 
Staff was over the top friendly and service was impeccable! 
Food at the lodge was extremely good! We were surprised at how good it was considering it is far in the woods and isolated, but it was like eating at a 4 star restaurant.
Highly recommend this property.

Love the cabins!

We wanted to stay in Yoho after Banff to get a contrast between the two very different national parks. Yoho was very quiet and our visits to Takakkaw Falls and Emerald Lake were so peaceful. It is incredible that these places had very few tourists given how spectacular they are.
The lodge itself is a great remote place to stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the breakfasts (pancakes ordered and a continental breakfast) and dinner (fish pasta) as well with a good range of food on the menu.
The car park gets busy as I believe the restaurant is visited by non-guests, so one of the staff had to move their own car for us to find a space which was very kind.
The rooms are great and very cosy. Quite a different experience to staying in fancy hotels. We only had a couple of nights here but would definitely stay again if we pass through Yoho in the future!
