Best hidden Gem in shanghai

I reached out to make my booking only less than a week prior my stay and Peter was extremely accommodating. Chai Living tended to special requests I've made (e.g. asking for an iron for the room and requesting a beautiful view) and also ensured there was a personal touch during the stay. They left a letter with all the information that you may need (phone numbers, wifi password, menu, etc.). They also included breakfast for the room, and ensured there were eggs, milk, bread, yogurt, orange juice, and water. 

The designated lobby for Chai Living is beautifully decorated with a lounge and bar area. The actual entrance of the building to enter the Chai Living rooms is a little more dated but I really enjoyed the contrast between old and new. The local neighbours of the building were very welcoming and friendly. It felt like a very homey neighbourhood. 

The location is great, about a 5 minutes walk to the fabric market, which has a lot of options for their food court! There are also convenient stores scattered around the area and a beautiful flower shop right around the corner. 

Lastly, the view was an amazing one! Day or night, it takes your breath away. 

I will definitely be back, Chai Living. 

Charming!

We have been several times in contact with Peter before coming there and Peter was always helpful. Our internal flight has been delayed of several hours and Kare has been so kind until we got there at 4:40 am in the morning. We discovered a fantastic view over the city from our apartment which was located at the 8th floor. The apartment is very well equipped and furnished inside. I had my birthday there and they offered me a bottle of wine. Finally on the day of departure, Peter helped us a lot to find a taxi which was not easy on a rainy day.
On a practical point of view, you have two subway stations nearby and the Bund is at a 25 minutes walking distance. There is also a supermarket at 10 minutes by walk (name : Ole).

Great accommodation in Shanghai

Chai Living was awesome. The location of the building is very convenient, is at a walking distance to the Bund. The staff is excellent, always willing to help out, very friendly! And the apartment was luxurious, the view of the bund was breathtaking, and it feels like home!! We learned a lot while staying at CHAI living, and it was the best experience in China! Highly recommended!!

This art deco building will take you by surprise. Loving and artistically done apartments keeping a very modern and contemporary interior look with all the mod cons you would need. Stylish luxury apartment living!

We spent an exciting week in Shanghai in November and came to this apartment on the recommendation of friends on the eighth floor. It is equipped for 2 people and has everything you need for a short trip: - central location at the Tiantong Metro Station lines 10 and 12 - the Federal is within walking distance - intoxicating views of the skyline - WiFi - air conditioning - friendly and attentive service. Breakfast - modern, extravagant facilities with comfortable sleeping accommodations - we have eaten all around us and can enjoy these accommodations much more.

During my three-year stay in Shanghai, I lived in Chai. I have to say that I can't hate my luck anymore. I left Shanghai quite a while ago and my assessment is pretty late, but my memories are still fresh and clear. Chai Living is not only a wonderful and stylish accommodation with a fantastic view of the skyline of Pudong but also a place where I have friendship and family. Tucho and his team and his super lovely mom, they all loved taking care of me... The apartments are all individually furnished and each room is in perfect harmony with themselves and their guests. There are different sizes available.

I couldn 't have been happier.

We were in Shanghai for a few days at the end of our Chinese trip. This accommodation was really a positive surprise. It is located in the heart of the river and is within walking distance of Tiantong Metro Station. The Qipu Textile Market and various grocery stores are nearby. The lobby is part of an art gallery and is decorated accordingly. The rooms are located in the historic Embarkment building next door. We really felt very comfortable and at home, because not only was the room very busy, but we were also very ready to experience a press machine, a smart docking station, a DVD player, but we were able to get out of the house in the early morning with a microwave and a microwave, but we could not get out of the house in the morning and get out of the house in the morning. Crazy look at the skyline straight out of bed

My first time in Shanghai and I'm staying in CHAI Living.You arrive at a landmark building in the city where many floors are occupied by locals and you find luxurious apartments exquisitely decorated and with unbeatable views, after which you do not have to climb any tower to see the skyline with its lights.The perfect breakfast, you get a basket with orange juice, milk, rich cereals, fruit, toast, infusions and Nespresso coffee.In addition, the staff is super friendly and helps you in everything they can.The situation is very central, 5 minutes or less walking from the Bund.Ultimately, the best accommodation in which we have been in China and a very good quality-price relationship.

An unforgettable experience.

It's a unique place in Shanghai, very different and recommended. You arrive at a very particular art deco building and in the hallways you find the daily life of the community with the clothes hanging in the hallways, the local ladies doing Tai chi exercises in the hallway... and when you open the door of your apartment you discover a world of exquisite design, impressive views and unbeatable service.
