There was the best experience that I have had staying in hostels. the room was always cleaning, the staff were so receptive and help me a lot, the localization was the best on Itacaré near to the beaches and many bars and restaurants,  and the best thing of all were the hosts. everyone was so welcoming and together we've gone to many events, beaches and restaurants and everyone helped and cared each other!

Great hostel and amazing guests

Nice hostel and pretty cheap as well. The staff is super friendly and helpful while the rooms are really cosy and all equipped with air conditioning which is super important in itacaré... it’s also well located in the middle of the Main Street. You’ll find a lot of young travelers in this hostel, especially groups of friends from israel like everywhere in itacaré.

Great hostel, great vibes

On arrival the bloke behind the front desk was helpful, spoke great English and had great local knowledge. We got a couple beers on check in and loved that we could put them on a tab until checkout. Beds were comfy, shower pressure was far from shabby and room was spacious with aircon! (This was a private room with ensuite).
We were woken early by the rooster (I presume someone else had a fond attachment to him as well, judging by the art on the wall behind the check in counter). Breakfast was included with yummy fresh fruits and juices, breads were readily available along with eggs and a sausage sauce mix. At breakfast we bumped into a friendly staff member, Juliana, she was a beautiful bubbly soul.
The same bloke from our check in, on check out helped us arrange a day rate for a taxi to get us to Ilhéus airport with a stop off at the beautiful Tijuípe waterfall for a couple hours. While we waited for the taxi, we sat on the quirky chairs they have made out of recycled tyres. All in all, when we come back to itacaré we won’t hesitate to stay here again, in fact before we left we wished we had organised more time here.

Great for a couples private room  

We absolutely loved our stay at Che Lagarto Itacaré. Me and my three friends all agree it was one of the best hostels we have ever stayed at after extensive travelling.

The breakfast and location is amazing, although this is nothing compared to the amazing service Amanda m provided who helped us several times and made sure we we could book our bus to Rio. She was worth coming to Brazil for alone 😁

Amazing service

One of the best hostels I stayed in. The staff is wonderful and helped us with everything we needed. A great atmosphere in the evenings with a ping pong table, bar, billiard table and much else! The breakfast is very rich and tasty. Not the best shower but there was always hot water. Also there was day trips that was arranged by the hostel which is very convenient. 

Best hostel!

Probably the best hostel I stayed at. As a solo traveller this hostel was ideal as it was so easy to meet people - there were dinners organised by the hostel, and a bar with pool table and a ground floor lounge area. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Location was good, walking distance to restaurants, bars and beaches. Breakfast had a good choice (fruit, omelette, cereal, juices, bread) - which was nice considering the usual Brazilian option of bread and cheese. Rooms were nice enough, standard dorm room with en suite - AC was on all day which was a nice welcome! I'd heard good things about this chain but didn't stay at any other locations; would definitely recommend this one though!

Sociable hostel

The hostel is in a convinient location within walking distance of everything. Breakfast was solid, mainly bread based with juice and café. They do dinners once in a while which is pretty cool. There are some roosters that will sing to you in the morning so if your not cool with that you may want to ask around, i think it may be common in the area
