Very basic facilities. Breakfast very poor.
Not good value for Money.
Wasn't the room we booked. We were placed outside of the Hotel.  Up a set of concrete open tread stairs. Access was through the laundry room. Scruffy courtyard.

Very poor quality. Do not believe the description on the internet.

I am writing this review even though I did not actually stay at this hotel. I reserved a room at this hotel 2 months prior to my intended arrival through booking.com. The morning of check-in I received a Whatsapp message from the hotel saying they were full, but would be would have me stay nearby. When we arrived, my traveling companions were able to check in, but the manager said I didn't have a reservation. I showed him my confirmation email and he said the reservation had been cancelled by booking.com. then he said it was because I hadn't paid in advance and I showed him where in the confirmation it said I didn't have to pay until I arrived. He was rude to my aunt, telling her she didn't want to understand. At first, he denied that he had any responsibility to help me find alternative accommodations, but finally walked me across the street to a home, which had a sign saying "guest house", and showed me to a single room. No introduction to anyone. When my companions has problems with their rooms (dirty rooms, missing sheets) we scrambled to find another place to stay.

Didn't get taken in

Three of us traveling together had confirmed reservations months in advance,  guaranteed against my Visa card.  A few hours before arrival, hotel sent message to one of our party saying reservation cancelled, offering accommodation at "sister hotel".  When we arrived, manager blamed booking service.   Booking service, of course, blames manager.  "Sister hotel" was a disorderly private home.   Chor Minor rooms were not clean, had no blankets or top sheet, only a used coverlet.  Dirty shower pan, muddy shower sandals and a dirty comb in room.  Manager was argumentative, would not even look at conditions, so we checked out.  Chor Minor is well reviewed, so something seems to be wrong here.

Nice two-star hotel walking distance to most of Bukhara’s attractions. Highlight is the staff who are friendly and helpful.

There is an Uzbek breakfast every morning, which is delicious. The hotel will also do laundry services for a fee. There is clean water available in the kitchen. 

The rooms are spacious and have a heritage to them - when we arrived we were told our room is more than 300 years old. 

Be aware that sound carries in the hotel - bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Fantastic and affordable

Hotel is very close to the main tourist sites, many within easy walking distance. After initial hiccup with no hot water, which the manager resolved, our stay was pleasant and comfortable. Breakfast is good, hot drinks need to be made by using the kettle. Staff are polite, much of our communication was gestures as there is little English spoken.

Spacious and beautiful rooms with antique doors out to the old city, this B&B was the highlight of our trip due to the immense hospitality of the family who run it. They are renovating some aspects of the hotel but it was not bothersome at all and we only hope that more people get to experience this exquisite home away from home.

It’s not located on the Main Street . So it’s quiet, even though the hotel is near to the center.
The hotel has a family atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
I reserved this hotel several months ago and asked for a large room. So it was a 40 square meter “suite “,which should be called a “family room”.
However ,there was no refrigerator. Neither an electric pot. You have to go down to the cafeteria to get hot water for your own tea.
Bathroom was small for the size of the room. And there is no bathtub.
If they are ready to invest extra money, it can be a real suite!

Nevertheless ,I was quite happy and relaxed in this hotel.


Good location, quiet room, friendly service 

Sultan, the owner of Chor Minor, met us at the airport and after a short ride we entered the beautifully decorated house that should be our home for the next several days. 

For our wedding anniversary we got a pleasant surprise - a complimentary upgrade to the bigger room.  The entire stay was the amazing experience; the family and the staff took care of us as we were their relatives, not the tourists. 

The beds and pillows are comfortable, the spacious bathroom, hot water 24x7, everything is working! The towels are changed daily (!) and bedsheets - every other day. All linens are pristine white and ironed (!). The location - could not be any better. 

The breakfast - always the freshest fruits and vegetables from the local market and the bread from the local bakery. There are plenty of food was served for breakfast that can satisfy any dietary requirements. We, the vegans, had plenty of choices, even delicious vegan pancakes. 

We also pre-ordered vegan dinners two times during our stay. One day it was a delicious vegan plov, and the next time - vegan mantu with the pumpkin. All was soo good that we eat everything and no food was left on the plate!

The simple review can't express how much we enjoyed our stay and how much we appreciate everything that was organized for us by loving family: a private trip to the market, excursion to the Emir's palace, the food, and hundreds of other small signs of Uzbek hospitality.

Loved everything!

This charming hotel, very well located near the city main square and the old city, has great rooms with very good breakfasts. All the staff are very nice and helpful. The hotel offered me the transfer to the airport.

Great hotel

The hotel is not luxurious hotel so you have to set your expectation. The hotel is a family run hotel which makes it like staying at someone's house. The family is really friendly people. I love the decoration of the room. It's traditional design so it might not be everyone's cup of tea. The breakfast was excellent with typical local food.

The location is pretty nice. It's in the city center but still secluded so you don't get all the noise. The name of the hotel makes it easy to give its location to taxi driver if you happen to have to arrange the taxi from airport or train station by yourself.
