Not much to see. It felt a bit weird especially when people are inside and we can peek ... feeling awkward. There are shops along the alley with usual touristy items like magnets, tshirts, bags. There are food stalls as well. 

It is okay ... 

Touristy. Good luck getting photos wit so many people in your way ha. The buildings are surprisingly far better built than I thought. Still, not too interesting. Those into architecture/building and history will enjoy it. 

It's ok

If you are in Georgetown you must visit the Clan Jeties. There is a house which tells you the history of the jetties. Along the jetties are many souvenir shops in front of people’s homes. The souvenirs and cafes are very inexpensive and a great Far Eastern experiencqe

Well worth a visit

we got here around 8 until we saw the signboard of the opening hours for visiting the place.  (9?) not exactly much to see but there is small praying places with beautifull miniature of temples before entering the preserved houses and the pier was beautiful and well maintained.

quite a lot of houses putting sign: no photo😬 so you may only be able to see the house from outside. however we enjoyed time as we are here anyway.

Worth a visit despite it being somewhat touristy. Chinese community have lived in homes here for many years gaining it UNESCO heritage status. Insightful and interesting for a walk round small souvenir shops/food outlets.

Life on the water

You should at least stay in places like this once in your lifetime if you have an Asian root or if you wanna feel the Malaysian culture or immigrants era in Malaysia. This is one of the finest stilt home ever in Malaysia with its deep rooted architecture at its best. The interior will "WOW' you in disbelief the moment you walk into this property. It was designed just like the immigrants home back in the 30's with a modern touch. There are quite a numbers of antique furniture in the hallway. the best part of this property is that the main structure of this building are made of woods! There are 3 public toilets next to the kitchen (Very Clean) just like it used to be. Bear in mind that this is a classic homestay with shared toilets just like in the 30's. The balcony is soooooo spacious and breezy especially at night where you can hang out for beer or star gazing overlooking the sea and a nice temple nearby. Trust me, this is one of a kind homestay that you can get in Penang only! Thumbs up Team Clan Jetty Heritage home!

The guesthouse and the location is superb!,  situated not far away from Chew Jetty about 50 meters within walking distance.  Mr. Tee was very nice to pick us up from the jetty to send us to the guest house,   upon check us in i realise the guest house was more like a Thai/Chinese Buddhist sanctuary and the Owner MR. Ng was staying there as well and  as you could see some thai monk photo in the guest house.  The guest house itself is very clean, well kept and maintained.,  they have a barbecue set where you could use and a small kitchen with fridge and the cooking facilities.  sure you could hold a barbecue party too there and they have a huge balcony facing the sea and you could see a nice chinese temple opposite of it.  A few suggestion and recommendation for the place,:  first the surrounding ground wasn't very clean and there was many family also staying there and you could see plastic and rubbish on the ground,  please keep up the cleanliness of it and I also spotted some rotten chair outside the balcony.  I am sure the chair will be broken if there is a big size person more than 90 kg sit on it.    I brought my friend from UK to stay in the guest house the next day she got an ear infection,  and she suspected that the virus was carry in by the wind from the area near by.  The next day I was a bit rush to leave the place and Mr. Tee the Manager recommended a few very nice food stall to us.    Take all the advice from MR. Tee you can't go wrong!
