Small family hotel in a great location. If you are looking for luxury this is not the hotel for you. If you like friendly assistance, tourist information, with a natural smile of the staff, then this is the place for you. In this hotel you will talk with staff as with your family. In this hotel ,owner of the hotel will help you find parking in the Montecatini, where it is not easy to find. Rooms are of high quality. Breakfast is not very diverse, but it's like you have at your home. On the end they will ask you to take picture of you and your family....So if you seek for place like i explained, it is hotel for you.

Small family hotel with friendly staff

Great hotel in Montecatini Terme, it is close to everything, it has everything you need and the hosts, Alex and Elizabeth, are amazing people. I'll definitely come back! The small family environment makes the whole experience even better!

Fantastic place!

We have just returned from a week at this hotel and are planning to book again for next year. Alex and Elizabeth were excellent Hosts. Our room was very clean and of a traditional style.  Montecatini Terme is a beautiful town and brilliant for visiting Florence, Lucca and Pisa.  Conchiglia is ideally placed just a little way from the main streets and train station so is quiet without being too far away from the bars, restaurants and shops.

Fantastic Hosts

A cozy family-run hotel is a quiet, scrupulously clean refuge in the center of Montecatini-Terme. Despite its central location, it is on a quiet side street without traffic noise. Less than 100 steps from the Palazzo dei Congressi, it is a perfect base for conferences held there, such as the International  Conference on Bacilli and the  International  Conference on Gram-positive Microorganisms.   Hosts Alessandro and Elizabetta were an inexhaustible source of information and advice on the town, and kindly adjusted breakfast times so we could attend conference sessions starting as early as 8:00.

A treasure!

Suffice it to say, I'm staying at a hotel for the second time. Montecatini Terme is a place you come to for two reasons: To visit the spa or use the convenient location to visit all of Tuscany. If you are coming for this other reason, I highly recommend this hotel.You will not have some luxury here, but you will be experienced by the friendly staff and the most modest but beautiful hotel. I'll come to this hotel again.

Nice,small,family hotel

I selected the Conchiglia Hotel for its very reasonable price considering the convenient. There was also the inclusion of breakfast described in some reviews as ‘excellent’ and praise for the owners, Alex and Elisabetta who were described as ‘warm and welcoming’. The location is excellent being close to the town centre and the breakfasts were good. On booking I did request a room on the top floor – having travelled the world for 26 years now I have discovered the worst noise tends to come from rooms above mine. We were given a room on the first floor which was ideally placed for a disturbed night by a late arrival who clearly felt it necessary to unpack every item before retiring to bed in the early hours of the morning. Our stay also coincided with the unfolding of a domestic drama and the hall and stairways resonated with the sound of angry voices. Such a shame and one can only hope this situation is temporary as, despite these inconveniences and the sudden reduction of the supply of hot water to a short period in the mornings we did enjoy our stay there and in particular the close proximity of some excellent restaurants and the train station.
