Very comfy bed. Plenty of towels. More than generous amount of food provided (but not quite sure how to cook our eggs for breakfast in the microwave!)

Pure Luxury

Stayed in this accommodation for 5 nights in order to explore Gippsland. Was a great base for day trips! 
Beautiful accommodation in the Queen Studio, with all the amenities you would need. A very comfortable stay, with the luxury of sitting by the fireplace. 
Merril is a fantastic host, and was very responsive and accommodating 🙂. 

Just FYI - it is for a quiet getaway, as the accommodation spaces are very tightly packed and therefore noise does travel.

Fantastic Stay! 

Creek Cottage met all our expectations for a great weekend stay. The owner/manager was very attentive and checked in to make sure everything was okay. There was plenty of breakfast items to feed a family of four adults for our two breakfasts. The location is great, with just a short walk through the parkland to the main street shops and eateries.
No hesitation in recommending to others and would definitely stay again. 

Great accommodation for a long weekend

My husband and I stayed in a Queen studio on Sunday as we had a funeral to attend on the Monday.  We had originally looked at some of the motels (all along the main road) and when compared to the prices,the room photos and location, it was a 'no brainer' to stay at Creek Cottages.  The studio was ever so cute and the location was ever so quiet.  The room was spotless and the bed so comfortable and my husband said it was the best shower he had experienced in a long time (and that is saying something as he travels a lot for work).  The breakfast is for you to organise in the morning, in saying that we do not like having to get up at a certain time to meet with other guests in a communal dinning room and eat a cooked breakfast.  At Creek Cottages you are given supplies to decide what you would like for breakfast to eat in your room and when.  The fridge had strawberries, bread for toast, butter, milk, juice and eggs (whilst there was no cook top in the room there were containers to cook your eggs in the microwave).  In another drawer were containers of cornflakes,and two different types of muesli and there was plenty to keep you fed for days, along with all the spreads you could ever want. Oh, and in addition to this a lovely liqueur muscat was available which we thought was a really lovely touch along with some sweet treats and marshmallows.  There were fresh flowers in the room, along with some high quality home decorating magazines and the room was beautifully decorated.  We could not have asked for anything more, except for some better weather as it rained all of Sunday and Monday morning (not that this was something the owner could control).  The location as I said was perfect and on a clear/sunny day you could walk across the reserve in front of the property and walk across the footbridge into the main town area within 5 minutes.  Communication with the owner was fantastic and I can only say that we will be back and use this as a base for when we visit our friends in Tyers.  We were also given a late check out.  Thank you Merril for all the lovely touches that make this a really wonderful place to stay.  Hopefully see you soon.

So cute, comfortable and quiet

We spent one night in this ever so well appointed studio room.( there are other room options available). It was the most comfortable and well appointed room I have come across. A great range of breakfast and coffee/tea options with a garden view breakfast nook. The room was light and airy with a lovely outlook through multiple windows. A great place to stay in Traralgon.

Perfect studio room

👍My husband and I stayed here on Saturday and Sunday night.
We had the studio apartment which was very clean and decorated in a lovely French style.
Studio was close to town.
👎now the down side .
Saturday night was rather noisy with noise coming across the way in the direction of town,I assume it was a pub.
I thought we had booked into a bed and breakfast ,not just a bed.
I have stayed in B&Bs in Aus and overseas and you would wander down to the dining area for either a very filling continental breakfast or as in most cases a cooked one.
On our arrival the host quickly showed us the draws and fridge that contained cereals ,bread ,juice and the eggs that I was told you can cook in the microwave 😬.(there was no stove top) but as I said to my husband I didn’t come away to cook and then clean up.
I think our host saw the bewildered look on my face and then added “oh they do a nice cooked breakfast around the corner cafe “ SERIOUSLY😱.
I’m sorry but this is NOT my idea of a B&B,I really think it should be advertised as a self contained unit with some food thrown in.
Also in bathroom it was a bath/ shower situation that may not be so good for older guests.
By all means stay here but please be away of the situation .


Disappointed ☹️ 

I’ve never stayed at a B&B nor left a review before. After our experience my friends & I felt it was necessary. 

I feel the owner was rude from the get go. I called a few days in advance to ask if the room had a bath, she couldn’t remember my booking as I booked through booking.com app

She left a voicemail answering my question. I was not informed of what we were allowed to take in terms of food for breakfast or toiletries. I was accused of stealing all the butters & shower caps etc. I did bring extra food as three of us were staying and I wasn’t sure what would be provided & how much we would need as my friends wanted to eat in & enjoy the accommodation.

My friends have stayed at B&B’s before and said they cook you breakfast. Due to the app I believe a lot of communication/unmet needs and expectations on both parties were not met, leaving everyone feeling disappointed with the experience had.

The hairdryer in the morning sparked & scared my friend & I as we thought it might catch on fire. We opened the windows as we didn’t want to breathe the electrical smoke as I had a lung infection in Feb. Nor did we want the property to catch on fire or anything like that, the three of us have a lot of hair being female. 

There wasn’t enough orange juice for three people in the morning. We had a late lunch, dinner & breakfast. I did bring my own bread & used the bread provided. I don’t like being accused of stealing when generally all that is included in the price, I wasn’t aware that the food/shower caps etc was used again for the next guests. 

I got told I created this drama. This annoyed me as I felt the owner just gave us excuses, didn’t take responsibility nor apologise. I couldn’t find the bathrobes and I was going to bring my dressing gown but it said it was provided. I wanted a group photo of all of us in our robes because it was meant to be a relaxing girls getaway. I do feel the cold due to my genetic blood disorder. The electric blanket I could figure out & it didn’t work for me. 

We had a lot of issues with payment but I stayed at the Century Inn, the night before in Traralgon and had none of these issues. My friends credit card was declined too even though she had $12k on it.  

My friend felt the owner was rude on the phone too and is a good judge of character, older than me & doesn’t just go by my opinion. 

We were told a sanitary pad was found by housekeeping under the bed. I told the owner I’m not on my period. I will be photographing how I leave the premises from now on from properties as I don’t know what to believe anymore. Generally I’m a clean person. The state to the accommodation I discussed with my friends. 

I then got contacted on Monday saying accommodation hadn’t been paid. We couldn’t get a hold of the owner on check out day. Monday she said her family took her out to Bright. I didn’t know where to put the key to her property as no one was at the property to manage it Sunday and sort out payment issues/complaints etc. 

I got told I created this drama. This whole experience has been stressful and upsetting as I was looking forward to a relaxing getaway with my friends & is always wanted to stay at this particular B&B I was drawn to this property. 

Due to the rude treatment, disrespect and lack of courtesy, and apologising for some of the issues I don’t know if I’ll ever be back or welcomed back given the treatment. I don’t know if I’d feel comfortable staying there again. Or if it’s even worth the hassle. I have a qualification in hospitality & 10years experience in hospitality. 

Regardless of your awards, I feel you don’t treat your guests that way. It’s been a learning experience for all.

Beautiful property, rude and unprofessional management

WE thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Everything was thought of and catered for. Although we stayed in the smallest unit, it suited us fine for our short stay. the extra little treats were welcomed and the bed was very comfortable. the room was decorated to a high standard.

Lovely little place

Wow this cute cottage is adorable clean comfy and relaxing. My family and I stayed here for my brothers wedding in Traralgon and it was so close to the vineyard. Much better than staying in a motel it felt like home but a bit fancier. We all comfortably got ready in the 2 bedroom cottage. The extras included are such a nice touch. We had cake, port, coffee pod machine, muesli, cereal (even gluten free) marshmallows, tea, milk, grapes, bread, jams, eggs and yoghurts all ready for us in fridge and cupboard. 
The electric blanket was needed as it got quite cool one night so we were so grateful for that but not cool enough for the gas fire. 
If your coming to Traralgon for a wedding, a romantic getaway or just to visit don’t book anywhere else all the other wedding guests wished they were staying there too when we showed them pics. It’s perfect place to take pictures for the bride or groom getting ready for wedding too. Enjoy your stay and book now!!!

Everything you need

Booked in to stay here for after our wedding, they decided they were going to ring up during the ceremony!! And again while we were signing our certificates, so hubbie was not very impressed as was everyone else, he ended up ringing them back up afterwards an apparently he spoke to them very rudely so they cancelled our booking!!
