The hotel is perfectly located in a quiet area of the old city quarter. The check-in is a bit informal, a bit like in a hostel. Rooms provide all you need: bed, bed tables, table, chair, wardrobe, bathroom with towels, bathtub/shower/hairdryer, soap. Everything is just a little bit run down and could be cleand a bit more carefully. The reception is not always occupied. A breakfast is available at €9 per person but I gave not trued it.
The hotel is lacking a bit of cosiness and of professional hospitality but provides good accomodation in a very good location.

Practical accomodation in a good location

The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and neat, nothing fancy. The breakfast buffet (optional) is really good, though a bit on the expensive end. We were a group of 10 and we were all happy with the stay .PS The walls are not soundproofed

Good and cheap 5 minutes from the pedestrian zone

Really lovely hotel, good price. We did not have breakfast. We had a nice, clean, light room with a balcony. Comfy bed. However skylights did not have blind or curtains. There was no place to park and we were directed to park off the island in a multistorey carpark which was €7.50 per day. The car park is a 10 mins walk to the hotel. However the hotel is a good location within Lübeck.

No parking

Small and quiet, this is a place for relaxation. Comfortable and clean, at affordable prices. It's a good solution for any traveler who needs a tidy room for a restful night's sleep. Centrally located.

very nice

We stayed for 2 nights at this place. The rooms were pretty small and the bathroom even smaller and badly planed, it was difficult to just get into the shower. The location is fabulous and the breakfast was basic but pretty good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. For the money we've paid it was not a bad place to stay.

I stayed here with my mother for four nights while we visited lubeck and the Christmas market. The staff were really friendly and helpful.  Breakfast was plentiful and the rooms were comfortable and warm given the time of year we visited,

Reasonably priced place to stay

Spent 4 days here recently with my wife.  I found it very hard to find reasonably (for me) priced accomodation in Lubeck and this place seemed great.  The photos of renovated rooms on their Facebook page and in the glass case out front of the hotel looked very nice, so I wasn't worried at all when booking it.  When we arrived around 8pm and shown to our room, immediate disappointment:

A dark, dingy, dated old room in the back of the hotel with worn wall to wall carpet, textured, painted wallpaper, bedheads made of vinyl covered foam and a small shower stall in the bathroom.  As it was late, and the hotel was full, we just stayed where we were.  Over the 4 days there, I peeked into the adjacent rooms in our hall and they all looked similarly dated as well.

Breakfast was decent and staff were helpful when needed.  

As for the room:  in hindsight, I'd of gladly paid extra to stay somewhere more comfortable as Lubeck turned out to be a pretty DEAD city at night and we spend a lot of time in our room.
