I had a reservation before check-in at the hotel but the receptionist straight away said we won't provide you room if yu book thru oyo. I need cash and camcelle my booking that time, we literally had to carry all the luggages and look for another room

Dude owner dirty hotel

Sadly, I got scammed by a taxi driver and a “visitor center.” The taxi driver told me he couldn’t get to my hotel (previously booked) because the street was blocked because of the local elections, so he took me to a visitor center. There, they took advantage of my terrible jet lag (and I have to admit, I am also guilty for falling for it) and booked me for an overnight stay at Neemrana Fort-Palace. Neemrana was fantastic, but  on my return to Delhi, the agent booked me overnight at this hotel - Hotel De Gold. He told me it was 3-stars.

It was like going from Heaven to Hell. The place is a dump. It is a Zero-stars hotel. Filthy.

If you get booked here, do yourself a favor and cancel it.

Scammed into staying here

Absolutely awful in every way, should be shut down!! Terrible and disgusting staff, horrible area in Delhi, awful rooms, con men with taxi have deal with hotel to make money out of scaring tourists, took our bags from us and wouldn’t give us them back until we paid more money

The weird experience in my life with this hotel. Dumb owners and headstrong fellows. I booked through Priceline(USA) and before check-in I called this hotel and the dumb owner told me rudely that he can't let me check-in due to the lowest price which I booked online, it's not my issue, I booked on what price got over online. I booked another hotel due to this unmannered behaviour. Please avoid this hotel, this is my real experience. I don't interested to give 1 star also for this dumb persons.

Dumbest owners and hotel

Firstly, they don't know how to behave with the customer. They literally in the mood of fighting with us. They Cancelled our booking because we have asked them to give us breakfast which is included in the Oyo customer service norms. Want a good trip to Delhi? just ignore this Hotel!

Very bad experience. Staff is not Good. Worst Hotel.

In every service industry now a days , customer is considered as the king. You can only be successful in your vertical if you have a loyal customer base. But I think this is not the case with Hotel De Gold, Bank Street, Karol Bagh. We (in total 5) had to attend a marrige in Karol Bagh, Delhi. We were travelling from Chandigarh to New Delhi and had made prior bookings of 3 rooms in the Hotel. At the time of booking, there wasn't any policy regarding basic amenities like breakfast. We were aware of the incident that recently took place in Karol Bagh. When we reached there after 5 Hours of travelling expecting a room to stay, we were straight away rudely treated by the guy sitting at the reception. He said that there would be no breakfast as there is some work going on in the kitchen. On asking just a simple question,"WHY" which I think is the right of every customer who has booked a room, he got hyper saying you guys are asking too much questions and are bieng too suspicious about the hotel. He straightaway refused to give us the room keys and said you guys can please leave. "We cannot give rooms to customers who ask too many questions", this was his say. We were forced to leave the hotel as he started shouting.We agreed to abide by all his T&C, still he forced us to leave.. It was a pathetic experience and I recommend that do not visit the Hotel.

Over the course of my life, i have had the pleasure of residing in many hotels & cities.

However, my stay at “Hotel De Gold, Karol Bagh, Delhi” has set the new benchmark for Sloppy Service & High Handedness!!!

STAFF — (1/5)
At the entrance one will be greeted (read berated) by a man with "Chandan Tikka” (Sandalwood Vermillion) smeared on his forehead. His superpower is “Being Rude” — to the point of being downright obnoxious!

SERVICE — (1/5)
Believe it or not — Zero (0) is actually a Good Rating for this hotel!

— One has to call the reception 2-3 times to get Water / Toiletries delivered in the room. And this is after you requested for water while entering the hotel lobby after an arduous day.

— IMPORTANT (if you intend to order food from a Food Delivery App / Grab Takeaway!)
Please carry your own cutlery with you. The hotel staff will inform you (& rudely at that) that since you have not ordered food from the hotel — They can not provide you with Plates or bowls!
This has got to be the most audacious response I’ve ever heard from any hotel property.

Old & Faded Linen — The linen is not cleaned at regular intervals.
Wi-Fi — Over the course of my stay in “De Gold”, the hotel Wi-Fi has not been functional for a single day. The reasons attributed range from — Network issue to no answer!
Mobile Network Issue — There is barely any network coverage for most of the Mobile Service Providers — Airtel/Vodafone/Jio included.
Hard Water — The water in the washroom is more salty than many rivers!
Hot Water — There is no provision of Hot Water in the washroom.
Food — The entire food menu is exorbitantly priced. No wonder, people (Me included) prefer not to order as long as possible!

OVERALL — (1/5)
Why the 1 rating you ask! — Well, cause the hotel is located in Karol Bagh, Central Delhi.

Other than that, there was no positive outcome of residing in this property!

Warm Welcome as always.Good facility value for Money. Good Hospitality.Nice Food ,Every time refurbished with new amenities and facilities .Always new facility and Decors.Superb Staff always helpful.Heartiest Thanks To Mr Gagan Arora and Staff.We are willing to Come again .We enjoyed our Stay

Hotel De Gold

One of my foreigner freind named Chang Che Li stayed there for a night, as he was not having any online booking of this property so went directly to this place and these guys asked him to pay $120 for one night and after so much request, they reduced the price for few dollars (THESE ARE THE HOTELS WHICH ARE DEMOLISHING INDIA's REPUTATION IN WORLD) 

They also forced him to sign on a paper for not complaining anywhere about there misbehave and mentioning that they provided good services, after only they gave him Wifi password. 

It's really ridiculous to have such kind of hospitality in the Capital city of the country.

They have the setting with taxi drivers too and threaten foreign customers to checkin in this hotel instead of their reserved one , as due to festival all the roads are blocked and going to there hotel would be dangerous. #CHEATERS
