The hotel is located in an ideal place, plenty to see and do without the need for taxis, the area is very lively though so weekends may be a bit noisy if that's not what you are looking for. Rented three rooms, great size, clean, convenient kitchenettes in all, reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Will def book here again for our next trip to Dusseldorf!

Centrally located

The taxi will drop you off at the end of the street, with a short walk the apartment will be on your left. Press the buzzer on the door and walk up to reception on the first floor. Outside hours, you will need to contact them so ensure you have the correct tel' No.
We lugged our cases up the stairs to the third floor and were greeted with a clean function apartment with a comfortable bed, and facilities as described in the advertisment.
There are many many bars right outside the apartment and the atmosphere was buzzing which made for a great evening after visiting a couple of bars and the Jaz club next door. Our visit was in January so it was cold. We returned to our room which was bearly warm. We were then woken up from 4am onwards with the waste collectors and crashing glass followed by the other waste collections then delivery vehicles In the morning.  Reception was kind enough to offer a bottle of water and supply an electric heater which was very pleasing.There is NO shop near to buy water, milk etc. This is ideal if you are on a budget and like early starts in the morning. Be sure to get a few basic supplies on the way to the apartment.

I was dreading our arriving at this hotel ( my husband booked it) as I had read the terrible reviews on TripAdvisor.
The room was very nice , it was on the 3rd floor up a steep staircase and across  a balcony outside to get to our room... The room was huge ,had 4 windows in it as it was on the corner of the building, lovely and light so we could see the snow falling.
The room was clean bright and lovely and warm with 3 central heating radiators.
There were 4 beds in the room and only 2 of us.
Little kitchen area Kettle & coffee machine.
Nice compact bathroom ,lots of lovely white towels.
Would have liked a chair in the room rather than having to sit on 
the bed.
We stayed 2 nights as we were at the Boat Show.
The Hotel was 2 minutes away from the Tube station, very handy for transport out and about .

The Hotel is in the Old Town which gets very busy at night time with people in the bars ,restaurants and clubs.
One of the clubs is at street level under the Hotel.
It was quite noisy from the music from the club.
Some Earplugs sorted that out.
Not impressed that the stairwell stank of cigarette smoke.
Apart from that NO complaints at all.
Very pleasant stay and will be back again .



3 Days in Düsseldorf 

First impressions were not that good.  The hotel is down a side street with no pavement and there is a just a door at the ground floor with a buzzer for reception.  You have to go up a flight of twisting stairs to get to reception - which is a room off the corridor which leads to the first floor rooms.  Rooms are on 3 floors and there is no lift, and of course no porter to carry your bags.  The rooms are clean and comfortable although our shower room was rather small.  The location is ideal for the bars and restaurants and not far from the Rhine.  No lounge area/bar/computer facilities which many hotels would provide.  Breakfast is not available although there are plenty of cafes within a short walk. Due it the location (and also being over a night club) it was rather noisy until the early hours of the morning

Not what we were expecting

I travel for a living, and spend ~250 days out of the year in hotels.  Never have I been treated as poorly as I was in this hotel.  

To start, it is a dirty hotel, with lots of stairs to the reception, which is basically a small office off a dark holiday.  From there, things got worse.  

My company was in town for the Medica, and had multiple rooms booked down the road.  I booked one room here, for one night, just in case we needed another.  At one point in the weeks leading up, I questioned the need to have this room, and sent a message through Orbitz, to the hotel, asking about the cancellation policy.  I never heard anything back.  We assumed we still had the room, and ended up needing it. Upon arrival, not only was I told that the room was cancelled, but they had no rooms. They also refused to show me any documentation showing that they received my question, and cancelled without answering me.  It was a mess, and I bunked with a colleague.

I was told that the refund would come from Orbitz, but it never came.  Today, I called Orbitz again and was told the hotel was now saying they kept the money, there was no cancellations allowed, even though the manager at the time said they had refunded Orbitz.

I then called the manager, and he could not have been more rude.  After his 3rd “whatever,” I had enough.  I am putting AMEX on the case now, but after staying in hundreds of hotels, I can say I found the pinnacle of unprofessional, dirty hotels.
