First of all I want to acknowledge that the diva bar is run by separate management to the hotel and my issues are not with them, they were very friendly staff and had nothing to do with the truly horrendous experience at what my family called the “dive hotel”. This is the worst place I’ve ever stayed in all my years of travelling all over the world. First of all we travelled with 2 teenage girls who need their space and privacy, so booked 2 “adjoining” rooms. On arrival we paid £80 for 2 weeks air con and were handed one key. When we queried where the key to the adjoining room was we were told just one room- it’s a family room! The room was small, there was no storage space for clothes, and the “adjoining” part was an archway that separated the 2 double beds by about 5 feet. It was dirty and whilst there were 2 bathrooms they were old and scruffy and one had no shower the other no toilet!! We put the air con on and it made zero difference to the temperature, which in turkey in July is unbearable without air con. On reporting this to reception we were advised there were no fans and “it’s 40 degrees outside what do you expect” well I expect for £80 to be cooler in the air con than out on the balcony pal! Day 2 we complained again and a technician tested the unit and agreed it was faulty and that it would have to be replaced, on Tuesday ( day 5 of our 2 week holiday) this was done but only in one bedroom - it was an improvement at least. No offer of any refund for the air con we hadn’t had though. On one occasion we needed a spare key for the room as my husband was out and had the main one, we were handed a master key on a massive bunch and told to bring them back to reception! We could literally have walked into any room in the hotel had we been so inclined: zero security at all! Day 6 we were out all day on a boat trip. We locked all our cash and jewellery in the safe which was locked with the same code we’d used since day one: on return we got an error message and couldn’t open it. On calling reception an older man came up and unlocked the safe using a master code and we were then able to re- lock it using our own code again, issue resolved- so we thought. The following morning we locked the safe up and left for the day. On returning to the room the same happened again and the same guy came and reset the safe: on checking our 2 piles of cash we discovered some had been taken from each totalling £400. We believe Someone had unlocked our safe with a master code, taken the cash and then relocked it with a random number rendering it impossible to open for us with our code. The police attended and took a statement but without evidence it was hard to take anything further. Miraculously once the police had made their presence known we had no further safe issues for the rest of the week. The next day one of my daughters belongings was taken accidentally by the cleaner as she’d left it on the bed so it got wrapped in the bed sheets. We asked reception if they could check the laundry for the item and they basically shrugged us off. Thankfully the owner of the bar out front helped and contacted the maid who found the item, so many thanks to that guy ( who doesn’t even work for the hotel!) basically the whole experience was a nightmare from start to finish. Luckily we know icmeler and have friends there who we can turn to and we didnt allow the bad experience to ruin our holiday. The other issue was that the pool is open to the public so some days it was overcrowded with people who weren’t even paying to stay at the hotel: I have no issue with these people being there at all, but when you can’t get a sunbed when you’re a paying hotel guest it’s bang out of order! The hotel is old, dirty, dated, there’s zero facilities not even a kettle
In the room, the beds are ridiculously uncomfortable the staff are miserable . there’s also a thief operating somewhere accessing rooms and safes. So all in all I’d advise anyone thinking of booking to steer well clear

DIVE hotel

Booked as a last minite holiday as the one we normally go to was fully booked. First arrived and payed for aircon, went to the room and aircon was not working. Told the reception the next day and was told they have new ones to fit that would take 3 days to do!!! I then said I couldn't wait that long in a room that was 40+ degrees, the man then told me to came back in the morning and speak to the woman in charge. The next day I went down and the lovely lady changed us rooms to a suite. It was huge and the most important we has working aircon!! The pool is quite deep so not so good for children and the sunbeds and the pool area is disgusting so dirty!  We ended up going to a different hotel for two weeks through the day to use there facilities instead. Beds and towels were not changed in two weeks! Absolutely disgusting! Then to top it off I got money stolen out of my purse on the last day! The cleaner was waiting outside our room and went straight in , by the time I realised I left my purse upstairs and went to get it money had been took out (luckily I checked in the morning so I knew how much I had) told reception and nothing was done about it. The only good thing to say is the staff are friendly. Would avoid here not worth the hassle , would not go back

Absolutely disgusting

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at Diva and I can't understand some of the negative reviews.
Yes the rooms are a bit dated but the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff more than compensate for this.
The air-con works wonderfully (it was 40° outside most of the time) and the shower was always hot and ridiculously powerful.
Never had a problem with neighbouring bars being too rowdy and we are usually in bed by 11pm.
Many Thanks to the wonderful reception staff and the amazing boys in the bar.
See you all next year.

Beds not changed for 2 weeks
Towels put on the floor to exchange for clean towels maid hung the dirty towels back on the rack.gone down hill massively .stayed here previously and it was ok however will definitely not be stopping there again.the balcony floor was disgusting the bar staff are brilliant though will definitely be drinking in diva bar again though

Holiday great diva bar excellent worst

First time here and must say we had a fantastic time, Debbie and the rest of the staff were great,rooms are of a good size we were given the family room so a bit of a upgrade a decent size pool is at the side of the hotel,bedding/towels changed regularly basis as was the room breakfast is served in the restaurant next to the hotel,the bar at night is a great place to sit in comfort, this hotel is in the centre of resort just off dolphin square 
2 minutes away from the beach plenty of restaurants/bars and shops near by, we enjoyed it so much we've already booked for next year.

Exactly what we needed.

Very disappointed with the hotel, bedding and towels not changed for the whole two weeks I was there. Pool was really cold even though the sun was on it.  Barmen very pushy drinks were ok. Breakfast was shocking and if you want water you pay for it and if you want a second cup of tea or coffee you pay for it  The waiter calls it a Turkish Breakfast but what you get is a boiled egg, 4 slices of tomato and 4 slices of cucumber small slice of cheese and 6 black olives, one butter one honey and one jam and bread.
Icmeler did not disappoint it was as beautiful as it always is, friendly and definitely my happy place.

Disappointing

This has been a favourite of ours for years but this year that changed.
We noticed it in June that the drinks qualify of the cocktails had significantly changed. We hoped that if we returned for a repeat visit that this was improved.
Maybe it’s us I don’t know. My Archers wasn’t Archers but some unknown concoctions to simulate Archers and it burnt my throat as it went down. If it’s not Archers tell me it’s Peach Schnapps so I’m aware for quality shock.
If your a beer drinker it’s probably ok but when I’ve had my fill of beer I like a drink that’s not gassy like beer is and Archers is a favourite. I’ve also taken to Safari lately and in some bars it’s a synthetic simulation of the drink and it worries me what the alcohol actually is and could it damage my health?
In short Diva bar is fine for everything but cocktails and mixers.

Had a fantastic stay at Diva. Not where  we had originally booked but it was an error that worked in our favour. All the staff were amazing. The rooms are small but housekeeping came in everyday and are lovely and clean. We found it great value for the cost. We had a room on main road facing bar’s opposite… friends etc and had no complaints about noise. We had a lovely stay at Diva so much so that we have already booked to go back next year! 

Great value budget hotel

This is one of the best hotels we h we stayed in all staff are friendly and helpful. Debbie in the bar area and her staff go above and beyond to help you and make you feel welcome her cooking is amazing.  Feels like home. Rooms are clean and spacious really couldn’t fault this place perfect location for family’s easy to get everywhere. Will definitely be returning. I would recommend eating in the hotel bar rather then the restrauant next door chef as they hassle you.

Hotel excellent for the price very friendly staff especially Nursel the receptionist helped me so much when I was having so many problems with my transfer company she organised a taxi for me as my transfer was a no show highly recommend the hotel thanks all
