A lot cheaper than staying in Gorlitz, about the same distance from Gorlitz railway station as the centre of the old town of Gorlitz (but quite a stiff walk up and down hill) and about the same distance itself from the old town of Gorlitz (but mostly a pleasant walk along the bank of the river. I had a large room. There is no plumbing at all in the rooms, if you want a glass of water or anything you need to go out across the corridor to the bathroom. At the beginning of September, there was no heat in the rooms or the bathrooms and the bathrooms could be cold. There was a kettle and a fridge on the corridor; the fridge was noisy but the door of my room was close fitting and I slept OK.

Very budget, modest, but clean. The hotel is very reminiscent of the budget institutions of the nineties in Russia. The hotel is located in an interesting architectural building.

Stopped here for a while during a trip through Poland-Germany.

A nice place to stay overnight, the hostel is clean, the amenities on the floor, but also everything is in perfect order, there's a place nearby where you can eat. Opposite a small park for an evening walk, if you have time, you can go to German Gorlitz for a beer.

It's a nice border town.

Dom Turysty is a type of budget accommodation, located 300 meters from the border bridge. My room was clean, spacious and with the balcony that looks out onto the park. On this occasion, since it was just one night, I did not mind the shared bathrooms, which apparently were cleaner than in many 3 or 4 star-hotels, Also, much to my surprise, on each floor guests are provided with refrigerators to keep their drinks/ beer cool and with kettles if you care for a cup of tea or coffee. Last but not the least, all of this at a very bargain price.

A nice and very inexpensive experience for one night

The reception staff very nice and that is about it. Bathrooms outside, scary corridors, no lifts, in the centre of dead town. It is a place where would not want to stay. The rooms were big, but the heating goes off around 3 am, so you sleep in a cold room.

Scary Place

We were here in September and found the old building very interesting. All in it, it is still in derelict condition and exudes a wonderful old-fashioned atmosphere. The shared showers are some of the most luxurious. In the room it was spacious and clean, with some accommodation. There is a table and chairs, a cupboard, a night table. The beds were very comfortable, the bedding was friendly and the blankets and pillows were also comfortable. We slept quietly and were satisfied with everything. At the end of each aisle there is a smoking ball. Not far away, opposite the large dome of the House of Culture, there is a worthwhile tree, which is a sight to behold. A view of the cathedral is excellent, so I can get a five-minute walk from the bridge, which is a tourist attraction.

Optimum price performance and a small adventure in the old walls

I bought something to sleep in near the German border. I bought a very cheap price - three 26 euros (the others were 65 euros). They only had a general bathroom and toilet. It was easy to find. The staff was friendly. Repaired. In some bathrooms even super. The beds were ordinary wooden, good mattresses and pillows. warm. In the hallway there were electric showerbeds. In the bedroom there were beds, mattresses, tables, glasses, cabinets, side lamps. Everything was clean. Noise was prohibited from 22 to 6.

It's a good hostel.

The Dom Turysty is a combination of a very basic boarding house and a hostel with shared bathrooms and toilets but although it is in need of some decor renewal it is clean and comfortable and the Wifi reception is first class. The personnel are friendly and helpful and a very nice lady in the kitchen will cook you a tasty breakfast. Location is central and there is a good pub/restaurant right next door. A very different experience from a conventional hotel at a bargain price. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed but don't expect an Ibis.

Not a deluxe hotel but a friendly place to stay.

This hotel was a real surprise. Our room was spacious, quiet and very clean. The beds are hotel-like (very short and narrow), but very comfortable. There are enough shower and washing facilities, so you rarely walk over another hotel guest. I can recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to spend a few days in Görlitz. It is best to reach the hotel via the car bridge.

Cheap, clean and very comfortable

I wanted to spend a weekend in Görlitz but the room prices were too high for me, so I tried it in Zgorzelec and just behind the border bridge I found the Dom Turysty. For a single room I paid here 14,-€, of course you can't ask for luxury at this price, but for a night you had everything, it was very clean here. Until Görlitz it is a cat jump, the city line also stops right in front of the hotel. On the Neisse on the Polish side, there are a lot of restaurants where you can eat well and affordable.
