Excellent location, walking distance to Old & New Towns & Kapana and unique place, not typical hotel.  Very clean.  The bed mattress is very, very firm (foam?) and the pillows are extremely thin and firm.  Not comfortable.  Perhaps if the pillows were different…
The young man at the front desk was helpful.  He was there one day.  Others were not exactly friendly.  We stayed several nights and, only because the bed was uncomfortable, would we not stay again if we were there.

Unique hotel, good location

Excellent service, cleanliness, location close to the city center, rich breakfast, huge, spacious rooms, with all amenities!

 Best hotel to visit in Plovdiv.

Very cozy and affordable. The customer service is great and the location is also really close to all of Plovdiv's signature spots. There's also a decent Wi-Fi connection which is free. - Kristiyan G -

I was pleasantly surprised.

Unfortunately, I was misled by the glowing comments on Trip Advisor. On the Pro side the Ego is a small, quiet, clean and utilitarian hotel with helpful staff. The breakfast is adequate and had surprisingly tasty orange juice. While the immediate surroundings are depressing the hotel is a 10 minute walk to lively areas. On the Con side the AC is not available until May 1st and our room was so hot that so we had to sleep with the windows open which was a security issue. The bathroom is small with only one tiny shelf for toiletries and no hanger or hooks. The shower floor is dangerously slippery. A rubber mat would have been helpful. Our room was large enough yet there was only a 10 inch trench to get into the right side of the bed while the left side had a large night table and extra space - having 2 smaller night tables would have been useful. The pillows are either flat (<2 inches tall) and very soft or high (>4 inches tall) and very hard. There is no safe. I do not expect luxury from a 3 star hotel but some thought into safety and comfort would have been appreciated.

OK for Budget Minded Travelers

Nice hotel, very friendly staff. Best part-pets allowed, no restriction of the breed or size. Stayed with an Irish Wolfhoud while visit the Dog Show. Good location, quite rooms pleasant atmsphere .Easy booking.

Nice hotel, pet friendly

I wanted to give them a mid-level review at first, because of some issues with the parking spots, but on my 2nd night I woke up with a bed bug crawling on my leg. Got pictures, but I won't attach them out of consideration to people's stomachs

All other aspects, such as greyish towels and worn-out linens pale in comparison.

Staff very kind availableto every needs, nice hotel ,a good choice,good position, clean and comfort. 
City centre at 10 minute by feet . Very nice city. Restaurant and  baKery at few minutes. Parking free very near to hotel, a good service in city. 

Very very good

Lovely helpful staff.  Decent location, easy walk to city centre, but not on main road.  Has all you need, rooms decent size if a bit basic.  Breakfast was OK, but not great.  It's certainty value for money and I would stay again

Good budget choice

The hotel is like 10 minutes walking distance from the centre of Plovdiv. You can park the car for free in their private parking so it is a very good option if you come by car and want to make sure you can leave it there safe and visit the city. It is a small hotel but with a nice and clean room with renovated bathroom. People are friendly and breakfast included some home made sweets made by the nice lady attending it. 
Cost of the hotel is very reasonable and will recommend it to stay in a decent and clean hotel, have a nice place to rest after the visit to the city and enjoy a quite night.

Good option to visit the city and park your car

Located 10 minutes' walk from the city centre and especially from the bustling Kapana district on the main street of the city. The corner may seem unpopular but very quiet. Very friendly reception by the girl at the reception who asked her manager if we could park our motorcycle in the garage. Spacious and clean room. Good breakfast in the small bar next to the hotel. The only small amenity is for guests to make their bed...
