It is very disappointing to give this hotel a bad review, the restaurant was excellent, the hotel staff very accommodating and the room large and clean.  However, the hotel is across the street from a church whose bells ring all night long, a small bell every 15 minutes and the large bells ring the hour (12 rings for midnight, 1 for 1am, 2 for 2am...etc)  It was impossible to get any sleep.

The pillows in the room are also terrible.  The room and attached bath are large and clean, the staff very welcoming.

If I could stay here without the church I would!

LOUD Church bells all night long

Hotel is in the centre of Zuffenhausen, very central. Tram is almost around the corner. Ideal for a short trip. Can you recommend. Rooms are clean and large. Friendly staff. We hadn't booked breakfast, but it's supposed to be great.

Small but really okay

We have a very bad experience. Unique courtesy from the owner's son at breakfast and check-out.

Discretion and ill-treatment of the owner's son.

It's not a big hotel. It's convenient, there's a tram stop nearby. It's a big, spacious room. It's not well lit. The internet works well. It's been up at 9 a.m. without any problems!!!! The restaurant has a great breakfast, not expensive. There's a parking lot. There's a great restaurant. An excellent Argentine steak.

The hotel, the restaurant, the sports bar...

Pros: Large rooms, welcoming staff. There are plenty of places to grab a snack for any wallet. Disadvantages: The reception is only open at certain hours. If you lock the door to your room (like our friend), then no one will help you. The bell rings every half hour (or even more often from 6.30 to 10.00).

It's a nice hotel to stay overnight.

Excellent

I was traveling to Germany on a business trip and had extended for a few extra days to explore the town. I wanted to stay in a very nice warm homely part of the city. Hence for me, the location was perfect! The rooms were very cozy and warm. Do not expect 5 star hotel kind of service. This is a genuine B&B experience.

Tips: Contact the manager and check with him if they will be available at your time of arrival. If not, figure out how to get the key. Make sure you are traveling light, no elevator.

A Hotel in a very homely part of the city

It's a small hotel in the private sector. It has a parking lot. The rooms are few. The room is clean, but you can see that it's been renovated for a long time. There's no elevator. There's a Porsche museum nearby. There's a restaurant on the first floor.

A welcoming staff.

As a holiday home, I wouldn't call it el camino. But for individual nights, it's definitely a very good price-performance ratio. The negative was that you could feel every pen on the mattress and you could hear the church bells when the window was open. The church is right across the street. Otherwise, the quiet is positive. Rooms and bathrooms are very spacious. The breakfast is very varied for the price. In the evening you can eat delicious and also at the normal price in the restaurant. Very nearby there is a small stream where you can jog a small round (if you need to run the round 2-3 times) In short: at the next seminar I'll come back to el camino.

Accommodation following a seminar in Stuttgart

This was our second stay at El Camino.  The hotel staff were very friendly, the rooms are very clean and nicely decorated.  The bed was comfortable, but a little soft for my taste.  The bathrooms were immaculate.  Everything in the room worked perfectly.  Maintenance was very good.  They have a very nice breakfast which included scrmbled eggs and cooked tomatoes along with the regular bread, meat cheese, yogurt, etc.  The hotel is handy to Robinson Barracks if you are visiting people there.  It is also near some of the commuter train stops.  The restaurant is excellent.  One thing to watch out for: I must have forgotten to specify a non-smoking room, so be sure to do that if it is important to you.  Finally, the price was very reasonable given the quality of accomodation.
