The cabins are located a little over 2 km from the village, along a dirt road that passes through a campsite. There is no excessive parking space. The saunas and towels you have to take with you, neither is there any gel or shampoo in the bathroom. Yes, you have to leave the cabin clean when you go out or charge a fee. The cabins have views of the village and the fjord, but they are a bit old and have a bit of cut furniture. There is a kitchen and a refrigerator. The lady who carries it is also friendly. The quality/price ratio is expensive. I recommend it only for one night, there is a lot to offer in the village.

Very fair.

The hotel is located on the outskirts of the village, about 2 kilometers from Geiranger, with a privileged view of the fjord, which by the way, is the one we liked the most of all Norwegians. All the apartments have a great terrace, a living room and the rooms, two in our case. There is a kitchen with enough utensils and a bar - cafeteria downstairs. The manager was waiting for us, although it was quite late to arrive. Getting to the hotel is a bit complicated, we need the help of the manager because it is not easily located, and the hotel is not in the center of the hotel.

Excellent views of the fjord in a more than adequate accommodation.

We were here in July 2017.It was an apartment with one room, a living room-dining room with kitchen, a bathroom with shower and a terrace.Everything was very clean and neat.There was free parking at the door of the apartment.The kitchen was fully equipped.It is a little far from the center of Geiranger.Only because of the views is worth staying here.

Good views

It's a great view from the balcony to the fjord and the city. The room is spacious - there's a living room with a couch and chairs and a kitchen with all the accessories. Everything is clean and neat. When we booked it said that Wi-Fi is free. We used it for free, but at a very low speed. It's probably a fast Internet. There are barbecue mangas, I don't know if they're paid or not, because we had rain and we didn't need them. The only drawback is that it's a small bed. But theoretically it could be spread out on the couch in the living room, it's much wider.

That's a good number.

Great! We arrived at 8:00 p.m. in the rain in the car, there was nothing free, and we were offered a tent for 60 euros. The tent was on the floor, inside the mattresses, blankets and underwear, and there was even a table. We spent the night in the heat of dryness and comfort.

Salvation in the Rain

SPECTACUL... we were expecting a cabin, but when we opened the door we saw a very cozy, well decorated, clean, comfortable and with a view of the geiranger's village.

It was spectacular.

Despite the location on the Internet, this campsite is not in place! Indeed, it is on the other side of the fjord, two kilometers away! So not very convenient when walking, and it's raining!

That's a bad sign.

The reception was right, the manager accompanied us to our room. The view of Geiranger is very nice and we find hiking trails right next door. But the bathroom has very little comfort, no showers, if we're not careful, we clean the whole sdb, not many places to hang towels... The bed for two people is too small, so we preferred to sleep in the sofa with the extra laundry of 300 NOK (price practiced in many places but others offer the laundry). An inscription specifies that if we don't clean laundry before we leave, it will cost us 300 NOK, it will cool off, just sign to the cooler! No good relationship with the accoral.

We loved our stay. Definitely would return. Homlong is the perfect private spot to relax at the base of the fjords. The owner was very kind and helpful as well. Exceeded our expectations. Pictures don't do it justice. This is a great option!!

Charming Apartment  

We stayed for one night at this campsite on a trip to Northern Europe and we had a great time. The hytte was very clean and equipped with every comfort, the very nice owner and the excellent location with a breathtaking view of the fjord.
