This is a stylish boutique budget hotel in a refurbished older building
PROS:
Central location near transit from airport
Stylish lobby
Useful left luggage room(but fills up quickly)
Liked keyless keypads to enter building and room
Friendly staff (although front desk frequently not staffed)
Handy laundry room
Good shower
Ice machine

CONS:
Location is very central but is only a block away from tenderloin with its SERIOUS drug and homeless problem which may make some people feel unsafe.  

Rooms are absolutely TINY
No drawers for storage
Small hanging rail with only 5 hangers
Lumpy pillows
No fridge in room or communal kitchen
Attention to high level cleaning could be better

Overall reasonable value for city centre location, good for short stay if you don't have a lot of luggage, but not to usual  standard have come to expect from Sonder 

Refurbished Budget Boutique Hotel

I was ready to give this hotel a four star rating  until last night. The last night we were at the hotel. First,  the hotel was very clean, staff was helpful and the beds and linens comfortable. The problem was that we were in room 501 across from the elevator. All night long we heard ,”going up!”  I don’t understand why this alert isn’t disabled! So annoying. They said that there were earplugs and a white sound machine available bc of city noise but we heard very little city noise but lots of noise from the loud guests hiking up and down the stairways laughing and talking at the top of their lungs until 2:00 am. Signs posted might help with this Letting guests know there are quiet hours like from 10-10? We enjoyed our stay but would probably request a different room if we ever used them in the future.

FOUND Hotel is a SCAM! These are grifters who charge you additional bogus fees IN ADDITION to the added fees already charged when booking online. If you love getting ripped off, this is your paradise!!!

Con Artists

Every time someone flushed a toilet in the Found hotel, I heard it in my room. My reservation was for three nights and not one night did I get a good night's rest. My flight from New York got in late and all I wanted was a nice hot shower and a good night's rest. The shower was great but everything after that was a nightmare. I called the front desk from my cell phone (no phone in the room) and politely explained my situation and was told the Hotel was unusually booked full and my best course of action would be to speak to the front desk the following morning. I spoke to the front desk representative the following morning and the conversation was very disappointing. Not only was I made to feel that it was not a big deal the front desk representative went on to explain that she and other employees of the hotel have slept in every room and as a result of the hotel being an older building it's not unusual for all of the rooms to make some kind of noise. This may be true but flushing sounds all day and all night, I think not. Honestly, I don't think anyone would complain about a squeaky floor or perhaps a few loud sounds here and there. What's not acceptable is hearing non-stop the sounds of flushing and water running through pipes incessantly. What I expected to hear from the representative at the front desk would sound something like this "we are so sorry that you're not happy with your room and the current situation, we will make it right and move you to another room or provide some compensation for your sleepless nights." 

Why is this room even being rented out to customers if the front desk representative was aware of the noise in this room, it's not fair to ask customers to endure such noises resulting in sleepless nights. If that wasn't enough, the representative went on to say that I'm giving the fact that my room was facing the street I should expect to hear loud sounds and shouting from passer-bys and the light ... Huh? Needless to say, I'm deeply disappointed, as this hotel is conveniently located to shops restaurants etc; Even with all of this, I will not stay here again and I would not recommend this hotel for individuals seeking a private room. My recommendation is to just spend the money and find a room at a neighboring hotel where you're guaranteed to get a good night's rest. 

Found a mess

The location of this hostel is stellar. I have enjoyed both of my stays here. I feel quite safe. The beds are comfortable. There are many places to visit and eat nearby.  There is a BART station very nearby. The elevator makes it easy to get to your floor and your room.
