Booked via booking.com for its proximity to Neuschwanstein Castle we were satisfied with the rooms, the internet connection and the rich breakfast buffet. Only news that, although two married rooms have been booked in my name, there have been given two rooms on different floors very far apart from each other. Next time I will specify that I want them nearby. The reception system is very  modern.

It's a good hotel.

Staff is too strict and look down Asian people also room is too noise and small view is ok and close to the castle. Breakfast is so bore not many thing to eat. Summary not recommend for Asian people. 😭

One of the few hotels in Hohenschwangau, pretty close to castle ticket counter and offers beautiful view of castle from the front porch; check-in staff was really curt and rude; room was tiny and basic though clean; there was barely even room to open any bags, no full length mirror in our room and we had to manage with a small mirror in the bathroom; breakfast was frugal and no toiletries are provided in the bathroom

I was expecting better.

As part of our hiking holiday in the mountains from 05.09.2020 to 21.09.2020 we stopped in Hohenschwangau, in the village of Tirol and on the way back to Rothenburg ob the Tauber. For our stay in Hohenschwangau we booked the Hotel Garni Schlossblick due to the proximity to the locks. The Hotel Garni Schlossblick is located in Schwangauer Str. 7 opposite the large parking lot for the castle visitors. In front of the house there is a few parking spaces. We were very well received and received all the important items to the hotel and also the tables in the area. The W-Lan was very convenient in the reception area. We couldn't get a lot of breakfast after the 15th hour, we were easy to understand. We also had a nice price to check in the morning and breakfast area, but we didn't have to pay a big price, so we didn't have to go to the bathroom with a big room or a big room. When we arrived at the hotel, we didn't have to check in. The hotel room was located in the basement.

A night with a castle view...

Older hotel, with good location in the center of Hohenschongau. Gastronomy, carriages, Castle Hohenschongau and Neuschwanstein can be reached on foot, but also by carriage or bus. Parking is free at home. Room simple furnished, clean, small bathroom and balcony. Unfortunately no TV and Internet reception / W-LAN. But there are rooms with TV, watching when booking. Two floors without elevator. Despite Corona, well-organized running. Continentales breakfast. Beautiful view of Neuschwanstein. Friendly reception and staff.

Top location

We stayed in this hotel, it's a great place to visit castles, our room was in the basement, it's a simple but very clean hotel, good breakfast, fast internet.

It's perfect.

We stayed in the new structure, room furnished with taste and with TV, phon and wifi available. Perfect location to visit the castles, 5 minutes' walk from the hotel is the ticket office (I recommend going in the morning as soon as it opens).

Great for visiting castles

We have spent 2 nights in this hotel from 02/01 until 04/01. We are a family a four, so we have booked 2 rooms.
We have really appreciated staying in this hotel : rooms are comfortable enough, people at reception was helpful, car-park is for free, and from the hotel you can go and visit castles walking (no need to drive !).
We strongly recommend this place that was the best ratio quality/price we could find on that period.


A good ratio quality / price

We stayed here as a family of 5 in a triple room and a double room. We were able to leave the car parked there the following day while we visited the castle so it was convenient. The rooms are basic, but clean. The bathrooms are small and basic, but clean. The main building only has WiFi in the lobby. The breakfast was the one drawback of the stay. Very basic. Very. Basic. Coffee, tea, juice, corn flakes, muesli, a few cold cuts and cheese, rolls, and jams. We have lived in Germany the past few years so I totally get what breakfast is, but even by Gasthaus standards, the breakfast was minimal. However, the pros outweigh the cons (breakfast/WiFi) and I would recommend for a quick trip.
