Just the perfect place place to base yourself for the beautiful little town of oberamagau.... everything you need is there...  clean comfortable and walking distance to everywhere... cannot fault the place in anyway ... you will be amazed

The house is comfortable, comfortable and cozy. The house is very well located, the rooms are spacious and the kitchen is very prepared to receive guests. You have everything you need to stay for several days. Marcus and Yvonne are charming and the treatment was spectacular. Very attentive and affectionate, they are constantly keeping an eye on customers

A very nice place!

Very best choice for accommodation choice and a very good starting point for all  outdoor activities. Hosts are both very pleasant providing and offering  their friendship  during dinners and  drinks.
I will come back for sure, as the way leads me often  there.

Pleasant stay

Markus and Yvonne have put a lot of thought into this comfortable, well equipped and friendly guest house. They pop in every day to make sure that everything is OK. As other guests have mentioned, the rooms are comfortable and well equipped, the setting is convenient for the town and transport and for the many local walks. I would certainly recommend this to anyone considering a stay in the area.

Comfort and attention to detail

My family stayed at this lodge for 3 nights and we loved it.  The location is perfect to walk around town or drive to nearby attractions.  The rooms are clean and comfortable.  We used the car park adjacent to the property.  Yvonne is a wonderful and friendly host.  It's a gem in Oberremagau.

Wonderful stay in Oberremagau

We couldn't recommend this place too highly. It's a small gem; only six rooms and in the heart of Oberammergau. Helpful friendly hosts, Yvonne and Markus,  did everything possible to make our stay a total pleasure. Rooms are spotless and all facilities good. A really well-equipped kitchen, and within a few minutes walk of all attractions in this charming place. Ammergau Lodge became for us a real home away from home. We'll be back.

Wonderful place to feel at home in Oberammergau

I stayed here for 3 nights & it was perfect for what I needed. The Lodge is close to the center of Oberammergau, so it's an easy walk to the amenities and to the train station. Even better, there is a bus stop just round the corner, perfect for using the free transport card that you get for your stay. My room was a very good size for me, clean and comfortable. I loved having the small upstairs balcony which is at the end of the hallway - a great place to sit with a beer before preparing dinner in the communal kitchen. The kitchen is a full kitchen, so you can cook a proper meal there. There were other guests, but it never felt crowded and everyone was friendly. There were some really nice touches: the boxes in the fridge & cupboard  for each room so that you can keep your food separate, the honesty box for drinks in the fridge and a little Easter gift for everyone on Easter Sunday. 

I would recommend this place and would stay here again when visiting the area.

Great place to stay

For our one-week vacation, we chose the Ammergauer Lodge as our accommodation and we never regret it. It's a perfect fit, an excellent location nearby, a spacious and carefully furnished holiday home, and an incredibly nice and helpful landlord, there's only one conclusion... we threaten to return 😉👍

A dream stay at the Ammergauer Lodge 🤗

I stayed at Ammergau Lodge while visiting the town for 5 nights. The room was comfortable,  clean and spacious. A full kitchen is available with space to store any food you may have. The hotel is centrally located in the town near restaurants, bakeries and shops.

Five nights in Oberammergau well spent

The FEWO is generous and tastefully furnished. Unfortunately, we were unable to open the large roof window because of the weather, which would otherwise turn the living space into a free seat. The landlords are super nice, simple and helpful. We already booked again for next year.
