This year we went to Mayrhofen. We booked Pension Monika in front of the Penken lift. 
We can highly recommend this Pension.

Nice and friendly people, very clean, good beds and nice breakfast. 

If we return to Mayrhofen for skiing we certainly will return to the family Fankhauser. 

Ski holiday 2020 

Superb location for the lifts, you could not be any closer. The rooms are traditional and pleasant (if a little dated). It can be noises at night with people leaving the local bar, however it didn't bother us. Breakfast and service was great. Would stay again. 

Great location

Monika Pension is traditional in style and very clean and comfortable, the bathroom décor is very dated but clean which is the most important thing.
The owner is very friendly, parking is available and it's ideally situated for the Penkenbahn, Ahorn is also close.
We would definitely stay there again

Ideal location for skiers

Gasthaus Monika is in a fabulous location for the penkenbahn gondola. It is everything you need! Edith was very friendly and ensured we had a great stay in Mayrhofen. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Mayrhofen! Thank you

Excellent stay

We arrived in town  early evening and without a booking so we were delighted to find a vacancy at such a nice place.  We were made very welcome and shown to a spacious room with a balcony and large bathroom.  The breakfast was good with a wide variety of preserves and also cake.   We would not hesitate to recommend  this Pension to anyone. The proximity to the new cable car at the top of the town will be a boon to skiers.

Traditional lodgings

Stayed at Monika 2009, and what a relaxing, friendly athmosphere. The hosts are genuinely friendly and have always the time for a chat with the guests, every day. The functionality, tidiness and quality all around are super. Some 50 metres from Penken-bahn and just a few metres more to Ahorn-bahn. I hope to get back to Monika in spring of 2012.
