We staid here for 2 nights. There is parking available, spots are a bit small. 
The owners are really nice people. Strange thing is that you have to leave the key behind at the reception when you leave the apartment but the reception is not always occupied. 
Breakfast was okay but nothing special. If you want to walk to the centre it is about 20/25 minutes on a steep road and at night not much light and no pavement for the whole journey.
The room was small and is really old. The furnishing really needs a new look. The shower was okay but the bed was awful. Balcony was small with partly view on the lake.  
I have to say the price of the room is also very low compared to a lot of places in the vicinity therefore 3 stars.

Old fashioned but low price

Nice accommodation, a little older interior, but clean and sufficient. Great view with balcony over the lake. Optimal for the southbound journey. Lovely breakfast. Very accommodating host.

It's a great view.

Yes, it is located in the upper part of Millstatt, it has a nice view and it is a quiet place. The owners are very kind and available, even if they do not speak Italian and English you can get the necessary information. The place is very clean, both the bathroom and the rooms and they have the essentials. The bathroom however does not have the window. The breakfast is typical Austrian, almost no sweets but a lot of salt. The price is not exaggerated. We were satisfied.

Available, clean and beautifully viewed

The hotel has a good price ratio in the area and especially for rooms with a balcony and such a great view. The rooms are clean and tidy. However, the facilities are in 80-90-year style. The Hungarian couple who run the guesthouse is very friendly. The breakfast is fine but definitely has room upstairs. Especially since everything is presented in a very small space in a corner and the visitors are loaded on the plate. Fine for a short stay or stop over, for a longer stay by the sea I would look for something more comfortable with sea access.

This hotel is VERY clean, I have never seen so clean hotel room before.
We did not have time to visit the city because we stayed over the night only, but judging on the view from the hotel room terrace - the Millstat lake is beautiful and so are the mountains that surround it. It must be perfect on winter or during summer.

The only criticism is that the communication languages in hotel are only German and Hungarian, so it would be advisable that the room has written bilingual or multilingual (including English and/or French) service information to the guests, like hotel rooms normally have.

It's a bit difficult to find but with very available owners, although they don't speak much English, they are very good at advice and as soon as they arrived they provided us with many brochures. Very pleasant the terrace where you can stay in the evening to have a chat and drink a beer served at the table.

courtesy and good price

From 14 to 18 July 2012, apart from the scenery, it was really nice, and the good cleaning for the rest of us didn't particularly like the kitchen: 1) dinner at 18.30 on point and not from 18.30 to 19.30 (a little too short for us Italians) 2) food with tastes definitely out of our own taste 3) in other Gaesthaus that we had been good in the area also spoke a little Italian (they didn't) and at dinner there were a few people (we were alone, which was desolation) 4) In the other Gaesthaus there was the possibility to choose some other dishes if you didn't like the one proposed and they had the menu written (logically not here).

We're not going back.

On the way to Italy, the Oasis offers cheap accommodation with friendly service. Just 10 km from the Tauern motorway, the inn is situated above the village of Millstatt and offers (presumably from most rooms) an excellent view of Millstätter lake. The chef is very friendly and helpful, the price-performance ratio is correct, only the rooms could be - in addition to the great view - furnished somewhat more attractive.
