Holidays for skiing

We've already been to the base station three times for our motorcycle tours. The owner is a biker himself and supports you with route planning. Yes, the rooms are clean and the hosts are nice, you have family connectivity. But what we didn't like this time was very much. There wasn't really a place to hire in the garage, it was delivered with private stuff. The food (half board) was edible but no junk. The prices have increased, OK but the service was not quite up to par then  You tried hard

Biker Hotel - We made an effort

A very good biker hotel with clean rooms and good food. The hosts are absolutely nice and helpful. The host has many tours for Navi. The dessert is delicious whether in liquid or solid form😅. We 'll be back.

Clean, quiet boarding house, spacious rooms, spacious parking, I think I have a feeling that they prefer to pay in cash, breakfast is included in the price, which is really great considering how much it costs to have breakfast in Austria.

The Quietness

This family gasthof is an old place in Tropolach where the history was written in Karnten. You can find here a very friendly family with the best Karnten cuisine. You can taste home made and home grown meat from several animals. It is quite close to the Nassfeld cable car (approx 300 meters). The downtown of Tropolach is 500 meters and you can find a small grocery and gas station here. Gasthof has a roof in the back yard, so you can place your bike or car during bad weather. I would recommend this and I hope I will be back soon.

Winkler, Bikers place

A great hotel at any time of the year. Ideal for skiers in winter, for hikers and motorcyclists in spring, summer and autumn. Beautiful comfortable rooms, breakfast buffet and fantastic dinner in the evening. Every time a real vacation with friends! :)

It's beautiful again and again!

I've stayed at Gasthof Winkler numerous times while on my annual Europe and Alps motorcycle tours.

The room are comfortable and the breakfast and dinner are great.

This gasthof serves as a great home base for motorcycle tours into neighboring Slovenia and Italy as well as this part of Austria, the Nockalmstrasse for example.

Numerous stays as a motorcyclist

The guesthouse is located in a strategic location for the best motorcycle trails in Austria-Slovenia and Italy. It has a large roof for the nightly accommodation of motorcycles, more than a boarding house looks like a motor home. The owner, who unfortunately does not speak Italian, will offer you custom motorcycles, dinner if you want it at a very low price, excellent beer, free internet connection.

Familiar climate, great for motorcyclists

We arrived by chance, but from the outside the choice became easy. It is a typical hotel in the area, very quiet, set in a more agricultural context than they set up. In fact, the owner is also a cow farmer with a lot of stables attached to the hotel. It is a typical family business, characterized by the kindness, courtesy and availability of the whole family. You eat in a simple way in a very cozy environment. The room where we were staying was a double plus a very large bathroom. You opened the window door and from the garage you enjoyed a lovely and relaxing view.

Relaxing

I contacted the Nassfeld region tourist office to ask for some addresses and I was somewhat skeptical when I received the offer for this hotel: they offered me a week stay with half board and ski pass for only 530€ per person. Anyway, we gave it a try
The rooms were nice, not luxury but equipped with all comfort such as satellite TV. There was wireless wifi in the whole hotel and it was for free and it worked seamless.
The ski pass was indeed valid for a whole week.
The hotel owner is some kind of local farmer specialized in cows....he slaughtered a bio-cow days before we arrived and so he offered on the evening menu almost always cow meat in a different kind of preparation (cooked, grilled, boiled, ....). For the veggies amongst us, there was also an alternative available.
Breakfasts are nice as well, you can eat his own bio-honey...very tasteful
The whole family of the owner is at your service...the daughter serves, the mother cooks, etc... even the grandparents have got their role. That's how he manages to offer such a cheap price
The owner likes to drink a beer with his guests, he's a friendly guy .
The hotel is at a five minutes walk from the slopes, all very convenient
The Nassfield ski region was unknown for me, but it worked out perfect...we had 4 meters of snow...wow !
