Excellent reception, warm staff, perfect cuisine, safe atmosphere. I'm looking forward to going back. I highly recommend this hotel in the mountains of Erciyes.

This is a great hotel.

i have a chance to stay in this hotel in beginning of Aug. As per its price, its services are very poor. Especially, its breakfast disappointed me. I have not experienced such poor breakfast in any other Turkish hotel.

Its an average hotel with high price

Grand Eras is a poorly maintained hotel, with little or no staff, and when the receptionist is asked, the manager says he is not, and as manager he knows nothing about the reception.

Hotels to Avoid

Unfriendly reception - our local guide was in heated discussion about our group reservation for 10 minutes. When we finally got to our rooms, were pleased to see that "room service" proposed beer. Alas, no room service, no beer. "Lobby bar" didn't exist either. Italian-style shower flooded tha bathroom - drains clogged with hair and dirt. Holes in towels. Lamp in washbasin mirror didn't work. Generally very shabby.

Worst hotel of 6 we stayed in

This hotel takes prime location atop Erciyes ski resort, with ski in/out facility. Rooms are very simple with paper thin walls. Decor is dated, the hotel generally lacks quality finishes. Sauna looks like a home DIY project. Breakfast and dinner is included - simple Turkish buffet. Hotels offers ski hire which is convenient. Grounds and roads around the hotel are unkept. Could be so much more with a little effort. 

Could be so much more

We're very far from the 4 stars even though the rooms have, it seems, been renovated. The only positive points are the bathroom and the location. For the rest, the feeling that the hotel seems a little abandoned. For information, no one speaks English there (at least during my 4 days of stay), despite the winter and cold, it was warm close to that of a sauna, so much so that we had to sleep the window a little open and leave aside the environmental values. The breakfast is varied but very tasty, not especially fruit juice if it's not a red-coated sugar water. And don't eat there, it's really bad. We were a group of 25 people, but the last two-thirds of the rooms are outdoors, and the services are quite manageable.

It's not a four-star.

We chose this hotel as it seemed close to the airport for our flight out of Turkey. It is a large hotel, which had recent renovations (2012). Our room was clean & neat, the bathroom looked rather stylish, but water ran over the floor when the shower was in operation. We had dinner at the hotel, which may not have been a wise choice, but it was the end of a long 10 days in Turkey and we were feeling it. On the menu, they offered Turkish gin, I was not aware of Turkey making gin, but a gin & tonic sounded just right on a balmy evening sitting on the terrace at the Grand Eras. Turns out turkish gin is Beefeaters, and there is a shortage of tonic water as well as ice cubes in this hotel....almost straight gin! The meal was ok, not grand.
Next morning we had to leave before breakfast so, can not comment on that. 
The hotel called a cab for us & told the driver where we needed to go.
At the airport we realised we had left belongings in the room, phone calls did not resolve the issue nor did emails. This is mainly due to a lack of Turkish on our part & lack of English on the hotel's side.
Have asked some Turkish speaking friends to help, and this may reunite us with our belongings.

Not so Grand.

Stayed one night for a two days skii trip.Price is relatively low when considering rooms' finishing and comfort provided. Clean, quite..i would definetely stay next time, too.i wasnt expecting such fine stay.

Nice, clean, comfortable value hotel

The hotel is located in a very central position, on a main road artery. We parked the rental car right on the street, opposite the entrance to the hotel. It gave me the impression that it was a businessman's hotel, since Kayseri does not attract many tourists, the customers are mainly Turkish on business trips. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, well soundproofed, the diamond tip was perhaps the breakfast, among the best of all the period of stay in Turkey.
