The room was okey but we say him we need a flight from hanoi to da nang. He say us there are all flights for today and tomorow over booked. We can go withe the train or bus. We take a room for one night and the bus ticket to da nang from him. St the evening we checkt the flight in the internet and check our bus ticket. It give many flight not overbooked. And on the trainticket he write not da nang only a city in the half way now we speak to him we must pay more to change the ticket! We not reconement this hotel and the manager! 

Hotelmanager is a cheater

If you want a basic hotel right in the middle of the chaos that is Hanoi's old quarter then you shouldn't go past this place! Down a busy alleyway there is hustle and bustle all around you to keep you occupied.

Across the road is a cool roof top bar and a pizza place but also down the alley is countless street food options too. And if you need some travel assistance there are a number of travel agencies.

The staff were more than friendly and helpful. Just a couple of negatives: 1> if you are above the 3rd floor you will need a decent level of fitness to get to your room as there are no lifts. We were in room 401 and there were 80 steps to get up to the room.

Breakfast was limited in options but you need to keep in mind that this is Avery affordable hotel.

Overall would recommend and have chosen to stay here again!!

Awesome Little Place

I stayed at the Grand Holiday Hotel II. Its the same owner. The room was kinda okay, but not worth $18.- and the $2.- breakfast was horrible and worth maybe 50 cents. You can get in one of the restaurants a very good breakfast or $1.5....the TV was not working at all although cable channels are advertised...I am not saying that I needed the TV, but they should stick to the truth when advertising.

The owner is a cheater, he will overcharge you for almost everything w/o raising an eyebrow.

i booked this hotel for 3 nights,located in small valley.But very quite at night from here you can walk to the Hoan Kiem lake taking you about 5 mins.
Also you can find alot of local vietnameses food with good price.
the owner is helpful too,the room is cleaned every day with fresh towels....
i will come back

Hotel was clean and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Great value for money. The best thing about this hotel was the staff- they couldn't have been more helpful! They carried our bags up 4 flights of stairs& went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was nice and there's wifi on every floor.

Nice location

Location is excellent - a few minutes walk from the lake.
Room was large and comfortable.
Wifi good if you are using mobile phone, less so if you need to use laptop.
Good value for what you get in central Hanoi. I would stay there again.

Nice hotel

After a disappointing start at Le Petit Hanoi, which was just around the corner, the staff at GHH showed us that the city is also customer-oriented. The lady at the reception was very eager, we even got a room upgrade. Although we were in the bustling downtown, we didn't hear anything from the street noise. The bed was comfortable, and unlike other hotels, there was even clean laundry. At breakfast there were two options that made the city feel full. The free city plan did not contain advertising for trips on both sides, but information on sights in Hamoi. The important thing was that you didn't come here with a laundry bag.

The best option in Hanoi

My friend and I stayed at the Grand Holiday Hotel for a week. The service was perfect and the staff was very friendly. We had a great vacation. Besides, there is a visa service. Very convenient! A great address in Hanoi!

It's the perfect hotel for my vacation.

I had stayed 2 nights at this hotel from 02-04 feb. the location is super good, it is close to the Church and the Lake within walking distance. It was really good choice if you prefer a place to stay and walk around the main attractions

The location is great

I wish I could give them a good review, but I can't pass the fact that they gave me REALLY bad information twice. It could've ruin some of my days.
1. I booked a tour with them (the agency name is Sinh Cafe). EVERYTHING THAT COULD GO WRONG IN A TOUR, HAPPENED. They forgot me at the bus station, I missed half of my tour, had to get a mototaxi to the rice fields, was left in the ricefields for an hour alone. They switched me to a horrible hotel after an OK homestay. The staff of the Sapa hotel (Grandview hotel) yelled at me several times, even for showing up at breakfast at 7:20am instead of 7am, then a few minutes later told me that they cancelled my bus. Yeap, I was stuck in Sapa for an extra day. 
2. When arriving at the hotel at 3AM, they had switched my booked private room to a dorm room, no explanation. I guess they forgot my reservation. (At least they refunded the next day for that)
3. I genuinely bought a Sim card with them. I asked 10 times if it was really unlimited, as she promised it was. I did think the price was good. Well, it wasn't unlimited. 5 days later I have to add credit to my phone again. 
Ps. 1. The shower was cold. I can't even call it warm. 
Ps. 2. Room was not really that clean. 
Ps. 3. There are lots of Sinh Cafes tourist agency, they are copy cats of what is supposed to be a good agency. Try APT travel, I thought it was really good.
