Grand Hotel Kazanlak is situated in the city centre of Kazanlak. My pics are from 8th of June 2014. On this date was the Roses festival, which was perfectly organised. I was for the first time on this kind of festival and was amazed!

The bigger hotel in the city!

İt is really friendly hotel, however there are some small things that they need to work on. Breakfast not bad, but not big choice. Clean hmm yes it was nice nd clean but İ can give 8 point out of 10 for this. They do not have fridge in each room, so if you will need it just ask for room that has it. Parking place available, but really small... free for hotel guests. Not expensive hotel, based in the city center, but for 3 star hotel and the price they have, they need to be a bit more careful with service :)))

They have what to work on ;)

Stayed two nights in the weekend of the Rose Festival. The hotel was almost fully booked that we had to reserve a twin room with half board option only. We drove from Veliko Tarnovo and arrived the hotel  around 11:30. The lady at the reception desk refused to check (not check-in) my booking  because all check in start from 2PM. We had to pay the parking fee since we were not the guest of the hotel yet. The hotel is located just next to the main square where all the major festival activities were held. Our room faced the northeast side of the square which meant that we could not see the activities of the square but hear all the noises from there.
The buffet dinner was one of the poorest I ever had. Far worse than the breakfasts. A chinese group filled the restaurant and the foods were limited in kind as well as in quantity. No juice. No egg. Broken coffee machine. We had to eat the dinner next day at the local restaurant outside of hotel.
Some of the staffs at the reception let you taste old soviet era service.
If anyone has a dream of rosy Rose Festival, please consider again.

If you want to enjoy the communist era toursim, this is the place

Stayed here on business in January 2019. The lobby of this hotel is a bit uninspiring, and overall the place still has a slightly Soviet feel: could do with a bit of a refit. But I found the staff to be friendly, the rooms clean, and the breakfasts pretty good. There's also a cafe-bar to the right of the lobby where they do very good snacks and meals until late at night. If you want to go further afield, check out the New York style diner round the back of the building (go out the door, turn right, and then carry on past the square).

Not bad, decent food

We got kicked out of the lobby bar after having spent over 50 euro each night, for 3 nights in a row! The reason? Because one of us was holding a coffee cup in hand that she bought elsewhere. They told us never to return to the restaurant or lobby bar again again and that we should find another place to frequent. Compete and utter lack of appreciation for a client and the value they bring to their business. Terrible place, would not recommend.

Restaurant & Minibar Attrocious Nightmare

I was been many times there its a just simple hotel with alote of room the staff isn't friendly with costumer.. its expansive for that where they gived you .
but if you cant find something close its only choice .

Well located but maintenance from 1980!!! Elevators out of regulation. Electric plugs do not work,..the breakfast was a chaos the coffee machine with no titles was a quiz to know if the coffee was coffee or was milk or tea.... the minibar was empty
