Fab little guest house, right on Lake Geneva. Very clean, comfy beds. It has a tiny fridge in the room big enough for some fresh milk as the room has a kettle & coffee. The maid/cleaner is super friendly as is the owner Julien who is happy to help you. 
This guest house is right on the market place. It has beautiful walks along lake 
Geneva with the stunning Alps as a backdrop. 
It is a few minutes walk from Vevey town & train station, also guests staying here are given a Riviera card which gives you discounts on attractions & free train journeys within a certain amount of zones from Lausanne to Montreux to Veytaux where Chillon Castle is. We walked miles in this beautiful fresh clean area. It is a French speaking are but  a lot of people speak English.

What's not to love about this little guest house !!!

Our stay here was absolutely fantastic it's location is brilliant ,about 5 minutes walk from the train station and buses. The room was spotless , spacious and made us feel very comfortable. Julien our host was very accommodating with nothing being to much trouble even though we never actually saw him. Room was attended to every day with towels changed daily.
Step out of the guesthouse on to the cobbled Street and in around 30 seconds you are presented with a wonderful view of Lake Geneva. Walk along the lake and be at the fork and Chaplins statue in 2-3 mins.
The guesthouse is a great place to stay and explore the riviera and beyond with the free travel passes you receive for local transport with your stay.

Stay Here !!!

Perfect location, plenty of space in room and lots of storage, fabulous bathroom, very comfortable bed. Location to train station 6 min walk, to the lake 1 min, town centre 2 min. A festival was on, which was a bonus, plus Saturday market round the corner as you step out of the door.  It did not matter to us not to have breakfast served in house as there are plenty of bakeries/eateries for breakfast round the corner. With view of the lake or old town what is not to like.

Vevey is a short trip from Geneva airport by train (1 hour). During the summer months it offers various festivals and event. The Jazz scene is only a short train hop away in Montreux. There are plenty of walking/hiking options all around the areas. Restaurants are a plenty, local wine is lovely.  It offers museums, concerts, outdoor sports facilities. Exploring the local areas is easy.

I think we have found a real GEM

When we booked this hotel we didn't expected that kind of experience. The reception is "virtual" but that has no impact on the warm side of the place! We had, throughout our stay, the same interlocutor by messaging, he was very friendly and knows the region perfectly! He was very good advice for restaurants and activities in the region.

The room, simple but equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. And above all an incredible view of the lake and a castle!

Perfect location - Nice and clean room - Good value

You could not get better for this price. Clean, comfortable, large rooms & large modern bathrooms.
Lovely bed. Efficient check in etc.3 windows, huge wardrobe.
You must go for the lake view rooms- don't save ChF 10 for this. Why? Because the view is just amazing, even from sitting on the toilet one can see the old passenger ferry picking up passengers. Picture postcard views.
The owners are a very nice couple.
During Covid the local Government gave lots of free passes which certainly eases the pain in the wallet, being in Switzerland!
My only gripes are noise from other guests using the stairs & the clumpy furniture.
The garden rooms should be a lot less in price.
But I would definitely stay here again- when do you ever get a Toilet with a view!
We actually extended our stay. Just an easy 10 min walk from the train station.

Outstanding location

I stayed here for the first 2 nights of my 2 week trip through Switzerland.  I opted to pay additional for a lake view on the 2nd floor (I think I was room 201).  The room itself was very pleasant, the lake view was nice, and I absolutely loved that it had a fridge and tea kettle + instant coffee/tea.  It was perfectly clean.  The lake view was perfect for my first 2 nights but if I stayed here again I would choose the cheaper garden view- it looks like it would be a bit quieter and still have a nice view.

The building is being renovated right now so the sandwich shop was completely closed.  Check in was fine- I had said I would be there around 4pm and didn't end up making it there until closer to 6pm but a couple of the employees were hanging out with friends outside of the sandwich shop and were able to get me checked in.  Check out was a little messier, as nobody from hotel was there in the morning when I needed to leave, so I left my room key with the construction crew who was working on the sandwich shop- good thing I had paid already.  My only main complaint is that since there's no front desk (and no sandwich shop even), I would have expected the staff to be a bit more responsive over email- I had emailed them asking for an early check out and nobody ever responded to me. 

The price seems in-line with the rest of Vevey, but it was by far the most expensive room I had on my 2 week trip and I didn't think it was any better than any of the other rooms I had.  I also feel that for the price it needs to include breakfast, however since there's no central space for the guests to gather other than the sandwich shop (when it's open) I can see how this would be a challenge.

I gave this hotel 4 stars because I thought it was a positive place to stay, but if I came back to Vevey I would probably look for somewhere different.

Clean simple rooms, good location, expensive for what you get

The check in for the hotel was in a sandwich shop  It said on our reservation that check-in was 1:00, but they said 3:00 when we arrived.  They had no place to store our luggage, since it was a restaurant,  so we kept it in the car.  We finally arrived at our room which was o.k.  We weren't given any information since the people you check in with were waiters.  We asked where to park and they didn't have an address, but said there was a cheaper one a few blocks away.  We found it on our own.  We asked a few questions but the waiters knew nothing about tourism in the city.  They were very unhelpful.  It wasn't their fault since they were hired to be waiters.  Also the wifi was horrible in the hotel.  The location was o.k., but rooms had only views of the parking lot or alley.  I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

LIMITED SERVICES

This guesthouse is essentially a couple of rooms above a sandwich shop. It all feels a bit cheap (which it isn’t!); even though the rooms are comfortable, the people are friendly and the location is good, it doesn’t quite live up to the very positive reviews here, in my opinion. Basic breakfast of coffee, bread & croissants in the sandwich shop, which is also where you enter the hotel. Basic place to stay in the center of Vevey.


Basic guesthouse, good location

I have to agree with everything in the previous review, loved everything about this guest  house. Eleanor, the room,the view, the bed and the shower were all fantastic. We had breakfast each day in the baguette shop and it was good.highly recommend and would stay there again. We found the wifi to be very good.

Wonderful stay

Wasn't sure what to expect when we arrived at Le Charlot but was most surprised. The room was fantastic, the location superb overlooking the lake, the staff were very helpful especially Eleanor the manager who was a fountain of knowledge. The cafe bar attached to the hotel served great baguettes & coffee. Overall fantastic.
