Basic rooms standard, decoration of the 1980th, clean. we experienced Slovakian charms and mainly Slovakian cuisine. Contradictory dining experience: Where dinner of half board scope was found on the lower end of ranking, the new years "Gala dinner" was excellent and tasty (Pumpkin soup, Pork fillet, Panna Cotta.

Very basic accommodation and restaurant in natural surrounding landscape

There are some facts, that hotel could have 4 stars. For example, the reception welcome and kindness of the staff. And there are some facts, that hotel could have 2 stars. For example the room furniture.
Otherwise, the bathroom in our room was well renovated and clean, room heating is strong, double bed was big, all rooms have a balcony.
The breakfast buffet runs from 7:30-9:30, the dinner from 18:30-20h.
The choice for the breakfast is rich enough, scrambled eggs never ran out. But the coffee machine does not make a good coffee. I suppose, the reason is not the machine, but cheap coffee in it.
We had half board, which means a four-course dinner. Good salad buffet, soup, main dish and dessert. For the main dish, you can choose between meat and vegetarian dish. The portions were big enough and of good taste, but nothing superior.
The hotel has excellent calm location, big parking and there are only 20 metres to enter the cross country Bockstein slope, 2 and 5 km long. The short, 2km track, is illuminated in the evening.
There are more reasons, that we will be back to the Haas hotel: kindness of the staff, calm location, big parking and scenic view from the balcony.


Good 3 star hotel in the upper end of Gastein valley

stayed at this hotel at the end of january 2017,as a lone traveler. found a very clean hotel ,staff very friendly and always willing to help. breakfast was more than ample. dinner is set which you order previous night,salad is a starter perhaps not for everybody,but was ideal for me,  as i was on ski trip idid find  it unusual that there was no entry from hotel to ski room without going outside  first ,but apart from that i had no problems at this hotel

hotel haas, no problems here

I went on my first ski vacation with my Danish family. We had a great time. The reason we did was where we choose to stay "HAAS Hotel." 
The HAAS sits at the foot of a beautiful mountain range and 10 meters from a great cross country ski trail, cozy rooms respectful cautious helpful staff and great meals. 
HAAS  is also located a few minutes from the free ski bus which takes you only 5 fives to the ski lifts . After a day of on the slopes our rooms were clean and had a fresh aroma in the air, all the rooms had great views from there balconies we had three rooms so I had the chance to seem them all.
Dinners were a good mix of vegetarian and meat and started with a full self served salad bar and ended with a different desert each night. 
The owner was very good and added a great personality to his establishment he often stayed after hours if we wanted to have a coffee or a lite drink at the hotel bar after dinner. He was also instrumental in helping us recover a bag we left at a restaurant on the slopes and ensured we made it to our transportation when we were leaving by driving us and our luggage free of change to our ski bus. 
If you in Bad Gastein and you are looking for a hotel with world class service friend staff and great location the HAAS Hotel is it I give it 5 stars and will recommend it and stay there the next ski vacation.*…

HAAS Hotel world class I get it a five star rating.

Everything is clean, wifi is free with good signal strength throughout the hotel. The food is very poor, very poor for austria, breakfast very poor without quality ham, juices made in postmix. Staff really unpleasant and thoroughgoing.

Clean, Cheap but unpleasant staff and low food quality

Very nice hotel with good atmosphere, lovely staff, perfect place - near to slopes (cca 3 km) but not in the rush of Bad Gastein city, it is very peacefull area. Right in front of the hotel is cross country track and begining of the Elisabeth promenade - nice for walk along the stream to Bad Gastein - amazing city!. Breakfast is perfect, dinner is little bit worse as there are just two meals to choose from. i was ok with that but somebody maybe can have problem to choose. But there is a soup every day and lot of salads, so if you dont like the meals of the day, you can stuff yourself with soup and salads and there is aslo some dessert every day :-) so you will not be starving for sure :-) really recomend this hotel.
