This was well situated and a nice place to retreat to from the midst of Old Montreal. We stayed in apartment 303 with 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms, giving our crew space to separate when we allowed ourselves down time.FYI,this unit - and possibly others - has an internal (circular) staircase as well as stairs from the front door down to the main level of the apartment.) Great location with lots of sites in walking distance as well as bus and metro lines. We had a view out onto the stone buildings on Rue St. Paul (we are right in the midst of things - a little street noise from bedrooms that face that way, but otherwise quiet). Kokila, who manages the apartment hotel, was responsive.  We parked in a lot around the corner. Apparently there is cheaper parking with in and out privileges a bit further up St. Laurent in Chinatown if you need it. Very happy with our stay.

Nice Refuge in the Midst of Old Montreal

Family of 4 - stayed in one bedroom with sofa bed in the living room. Ask for Apt 302 if you need for a family. Kitchen is large and the place is spacious. Security in the building is the best - 3 codes to get into your apartment - all keyed in codes. The location by far is what is the very best - everything is there if you like to stay in Old Montreal. The entertainment, food etc... We did make several trips to grocery store IGA - about 15mins walk. Howvever there's a convinient store with groceries on the side of the building. The manager Kokila is excellent  - her response to calls is prompt and her service to people is excellent!!! All in all we would go back. Only one request if possible to look to change mattresses - it's not horrible but our sleeps were not the best! But if you're there for few days or week you will be ok. PEACEFUL - FRIENDLY - RELAXING

Despite some other reviews, we had no trouble getting in. On arrival we phoned the owner and she arrived, to show us around, in only a few minutes. 
We were in a second floor apartment which was remarkably spacious and had a full kitchen. There was some noise from the street below and some from an afjacent room but not enough to disturb us. The place is full of character and was a pleasant change from bland hotels and apartments. 
The free Wi-Fi worked well. 
The location is excellent. It is in the centre of old Montreal. The city has an excellent public transport system, so we found we could walk or transit to anywhere - no need for a car.

Excellent quirky place

We stayed in the biggest appartment of the place. The appartment was very nice, spacy, good kitchen, TV and so on. Decorated with style, very clean, really great.
The only issue: there is no parking directly belonging to the hotel. In the area there are only paid parkings and very often no parkings available. The owner recommended us 2 spots, one was in another hotel (around 30$ per day) but full and the other across the street (18$ per day but no in/out).

Great place but no parking

We stayed 3 nights at the Habitation du Vieux in May 2017. At first we had a few problems (e.g. broken A/C) and had to change room. We ended up in a very nice appartment in 3rd floor. The only complaint was the street noise. Kokila Patel, the manager, handled everything very well. She was very helpful and friendly. Location is excellent. We walked everywhere. I highly recommend going up to Parc du Mont-Royal. A view is fantastic. We enjoyed our stay very much. Hope to come back some day.
