Easy to book. Warm welcome on arrival. Lovely building and very spacious room with comfortable bed overlooking the garden .  Good breakfasts. Excellent location for the city and attractions - about 15 to 20 minute walk, so we didn’t need to use the car.  Will use again if we visit Bath.

Very enjoyable stay

I booked this break (my husband chose this b&b), for his birthday.. I can’t fault it one bit..

I’m a vegan and they did me an amazing breakfast, the staff were so lovely and caring.

Birthday week

So pleased we chose to stay here during our recent trip to Bath. It was a big plus to have parking available. The hotel is in a lovely setting, our room was beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice Good location, highly recommend.

Wonderful stay

Very nice place to stay easy walk to Bath centre be it a 20 minute  walk down hill   very nice rooms we stayed  in number 4 perfect  
From 8th to the 10th march if we go back to Bath we would definitely  stay here again 
Breakfast was also very nice no complaints  

Nice place

We loved our stay here. Arrived at 2.30pm rung the bell and was greeted by staff straight away. Showed to our room which was absolutely beautiful. Very comfortable bed! Stayed for 2 days breakfast was delicious on both days. Amazing poached egg! The continental selection was also great. All staff were very friendly. Will come back next time we are in bath

Thanks for a great stay

We really looked forward to our stay here. It was a little more pricey than we'd have liked, but as it was a special occasion, we went for it as photos looked great.

I tried to contact the hotel by calling a few days prior to arrival to arrange some flowers in the room as they'd confirmed they could arrange via message on booking.com, 2 days with no answer and I left a message to be called back and told that it'd be best to arrange flowers myself as giving 1 or 2 days notice wasn't enough time to arrange flowers, so they suggested I contact the local florist myself, they couldn't remember the name, local knowledge of a business you're recommending would be helpful!

We arrived early and managed to catch some staff to check us in. The room was ready early. We were given keys and directed to the basement room.

First impressions of the room were good, massive room with a free standing bath and a modern bathroom. Upon closer inspection, the bed wasn't very clean, hairs on pillows, dirty marks on bedding, the toilet could have been cleaner and the seat was loose/broken, the room was very dusty and I was very sneezy, my wife put her coat on top of the wardrobe and it was covered in dust, lack of any coat hooks was not ideal, we moved the TV around so we could watch in bed and the TV bracket was very dusty also. We had a door leading to the front if the property, as we were in the basement there were some steps up to the front garden and car park area, this area seemed like a dumping ground, stools left there, and rubbish not cleared away.

Breakfast, we really looked forward to breakfast and had high expectations as some reviews highlighted it as being good. Sadly in our opinion it wasn't. Small portion, cheap ingredients and greasy. I've had better in budget hotels to be honest. 

The staff, if you're lucky enough to spot them during your stay then they seemed to be new to their jobs, never seemed confident in what they were doing and service wasn't great, little things like serving tea and coffee but not bringing over milk, serving toast but no butter, it's the little details. One other thing that bugged me is there's no way to tell who's staff and who's guests, no uniform not even a polo shirt to distinguish the staff members!

Gutted this didn't live up to our expectations as such a beautiful property deserves much better service, we didn't get value for money at all and would advise you to book elsewhere, I know we wish we did!

Overall disappointed 

Wanted to really like this property but ended up being very disappointed. On the positive side it is within walking distance to Bath & room was relatively clean. Service however was lacking. Breakfast was poor and below standard. Asking for help or information also met with disdain. Better places to stay

Better Places

The location of this property is ideal for walking into Bath, and there is free car parking which is a big plus.
We had room 1.
The decor of the room is very nice and the roll top bath is an elegant touch.
Bed was very comfortable and having a door out onto the garden was lovely.
Breakfast was very nice with a good selection of both hot and cold foods. Hot breakfast does need to be chosen the evening before which is great so long as you don't change your mind.
Downside.
There was no showegel in the dispenser, we did ask for it to be filled but this did not happen.
The shower tray and tiles looked they needed a good scrub.
WARNING
There is no toilet door. If we had known this we would have gone elsewhere.
After 31 years of marriage as a couple there are still things we like some privacy about. A clear notification of this should be made on booking.

Weekend break 

Spent four nights at tyndall villa.
What a lovely place, we had room 3, a garden room.
The room was spotlessly clean, spacious, with a lovely en suite bathroom.
The bed was extremely comfortable.
The tea tray in the room was very well stocked and replenished when the room was serviced.
Tyndall villa itself is a beautiful building throughout and again spotlessly clean.
Breakfast, excellent again, plenty of choice for cooked options, and delicious they were too.
Cereal, juices, pastries etc were also available. 
The staff were lovely, pleasant and welcoming at breakfast time.
I've seen some people having a moan about the breakfast and staff, I think these people moaning need to get a bit of a grip of themselves, to be honest.
There is absolutely nothing to fault with either.
The location of the b&b is good, about a 15-minute walk to Bath centre. However, it is halfway up a long hill on the return leg,which for most won't be an issue, but in the heat of the past week it was hard going  or if you had any mobility issues, there is a bus stop directly opposite as an alternative to walking.
It's in an ideal place for travelling to the many local attractions,  stonhenge etc.
Parking is available but you have to let them know beforehand, only a slight issue in that there doesn't appear to be sufficient spaces for the amount of guest, or people had turned up without booking a space ??, you will be able to park but it might be on the grass instead of an allocated space.
All in all we had a wonderful stay, so a big thumbs up tyndall villa and to all the staff.

Excellent stay.

The Villa is certainly very nice. Rooms are as advertised and beds comfortable. 
Breakfast however did not live up to our expectations. While they did have gluten-free toast and gluten-free cereal, cooked breakfast is apparently just one order per person. You will not get any other cooked items if you find portions to be too small, not even upon request.
The „continental breakfast“ buffet is limited to cereal, cookies, some yoghurt, tinned fruit and cheap preserves. The worst breakfast buffet I have ever seen, to be honest. No cheese, deli meat, fresh fruit, croissants or even rolls. Not great, if you cannot order as many cooked items as you‘d like….
All in all, I would not book this again and can only recommend if you don‘t mind limited breakfast choice.
