What requires improvement as the first thing is the service. While the reception desk was OK, the rest is simply a disaster. We stayed in several hotels in Vietnam and this was the only one in which the luggage guy induced a tip for literally nothing, just going up with a lift. Unacceptable! The breakfast was another tragedy. We got a dirty a menu to choose from and the choice was very limited. The only positive thing was big and fresh baguette. While we were easting, the attendance was sitting at another table, watching something on the internet really loudly, which was extremely annoying. They didn’t care about us at all. Finally, the bathroom was long and narrow, very stuffy, without any shelfs to keep your things. The guy, who took us up to the room reached out for the money but didn’t even mention that you need to push a button on the wall, next to the light switch to get hot water. We had to figure this out ourselves. I wouldn’t recommend staying in this hotel to anyone, keep away!

Keep away!

I thought the hotel was very good indeed, new, clean, very helpful and friendly staff, nice rooms, fridge, mini bar, easy walk to Ben Thanh market and that Bui Vien Street, where all the action is, and easy walking to the sightseeing destinations...we got upgraded to a suite, which was vert comfortable, some nice bars near by....couldn't fault it, would definitely return.....excellent value for money....city centre hotel without all the noise....

Thai Binh hotel

The hotel, which is quite well located (you can do and see a lot of things by walking), is very anything. The room is just fine without more. Breakfast is poor and fruity and the server is unpathetic. We bought bus tickets to go to Cantho. The luxury bus has turned into an uncomfortable regular bus that costs 3-4 times less than what we paid. Hotel to discourage!

Very average hotel

On arrival they upgraded us to a supreme room which we were happy about until we visited room. As soon as the door opened you could spell the pong of Mould. Mould in bathroom was so bad that the lighting fixtures were held in roof by tape to stop them from falling from Ceiling. Next to the bed you could also see signs of the shower leaking through the wall with visible water damage. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was ok and room was clean apart from Mould. Furniture in rooms seemed very outdated and felt as though it was made up of bits and pieces from a garage sale maybe? For this price you can stay in much better hotel in similar location. 

Upgraded to a supreme mouldy room 

We stayed in this hotel for one week between Christmas and New Year. The big plus is definitely the location of the hotel. You have walking distance to all of "must visit" places. There is air-condition, WiFi available and quite friendly staff. What I was not happy about so much, was the breakfast and how was the room "clean". Breakfast there means just two types of fruits, coffee, tea, juice and possibility of some cereals. And they offer you one thing from the list to choose (eggs, some soup, noodles, toast with jam). And sometimes, when you come in not good time, juice is gone, fruits are gone...and they did not bring the new ones. Coming back to the room - sofa was not clean when we came first day and it stayed like that whole time, someone left there some crumbs. On the plaid on our bed were some visible spots and I had to look on it every day. Also we had some mold on the walls. And the water from the shower was full of the air, so had to fight with this every day. 

For me somewhere in the middle

I've read a few reviews before I booked and now I am confused. Sadly I didn't get upgraded but the room we had was spacious, clean and comfortable.

You are paying around 20quid per night so can't expect luxury. What you do get are lovely staff who are helpful and friendly. Wanting you to get the most out of the trip.

Breakfast we thought was good. A choice of around 8 hot items and fresh fruit and cereal. Yes they are mostly egg based or local dishes..
But your in Vietnam...Coco pops won't do. The fried eggs and noodles are delicious.

The hotel is 3 mins away from the market on your right and 3 mins away from all the bars and walking street.

It's not the Hilton...but who wants to stay there?!

Helpful staff.

Close to all the places you should know about Ho Chi Minh City. The staff is very helpful and concerned about what you need. Very good English is the person at the reception, no communication problems. The room with windows is better than the standard and there is no need to pay so much for the upgrade. Clean, with elevator. A little noise at night, I think there is a karaoke bar, but nothing so terrible. Super recommended!

Excellent location  Excellent location

Like what most have mentioned, the room is great and couldn't have been cleaner. My only gripe is that the surrounding environment was noisy. There seemed to be clubbing music outside which was so loud on a Tuesday night.


Clean and great room

The hotel location is great. This is district 1. Everything is situated in walking distance: The cathedral, main post office, malls, cafes, and restaurants.
The breakfast is simple, but it's enough in the morning.
And I want to thank the all hotel personnel helping us to solve some our issues.
It's very loudly in the evening (from 10PM to 1AM) because of rooftop bar at the near hotel. It has a party in the late evening on the roof.

Good location

My friends and I stayed in a room without proper window. I found stained on the blanket. I don't feel comfortable staying there. The toilet door in the room we stayed was transparent. It is not convenient at all.
