I start by saying that there was no hot water and the internet and this should be immediately brought to the fore especially for the first time.

The downside is the current conditions of the city, with continuous power outages that negatively affect a comfortable stay. The breakfast is very good but no lunches or meals are offered. When the tourist situation improves, this hotel deserves to be promoted. It is simple, comfortable, without unnecessary luxuries and with an excellent location.

A hotel with colonial charm

We stayed here for one night and were very impressed by the quality of the food. I want to give special thanks to the chef for such an expended dinner and breakfast and the staff for making our stay so smooth.

Amazing Hotel in Santiago de Cuba

It was about 12 days and it was a great experience, all the staff were friendly and made our trip to Santiago a truly great moment, love reading in the meadows, the place is clean, it is cozy and would definitely return with all the wonderful staff.

Hotel San Basilio is a super good option for people who want to enjoy an experience in the historic center of Santiago de Cuba. With a super attentive and friendly treatment and with impeccable hygiene. I have no complaints about anything at the hotel, just improve the hot water in the bathroom outside of that nothing more. Always the room is impeccable and everything super clean. Sometimes we tend to look for more reputable options when visiting a city hotel and not having the availability we find places like San Basilio that made our days in Santiago more pleasant and amenos to all its workers for their hospitality and kindness.

A trip to Santiago de Cuba

We stayed in this hotel after reading the pretty positive reviews on TA. The hotel is located a few steps from the main square, it is in a quiet area inside a colonial house, the rooms all overlook the interior where there are two outdoor relaxation areas with plants and flowers....I recommend avoiding the 2 rooms that face directly on the lobby and kitchen as they can be a little more noisy especially in the morning at breakfast time.

Friendly and helpful stuff, comfortable rooms, great breakfast! A very nice small colonial hotel with a perfect location near Plaza Cespedes in the heart of Santiago de Cuba. Great value for your money. We would book it again!

Perfect place in the center of Santiago

Our flight to Santiago was delayed for six hours, and we arrived at the hotel only at three o'clock in the morning. A young employee waited for us and welcomed us very kindly. Beautiful, large rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful, pleasant, family atmosphere. Overall, a wonderful small hotel with a very good price ratio.

Small, fine, friendly hotel in the best location

Small and charming colonial hotel with fantastic location (two steps from the main square) adequate rooms and bathroom, spacious and clean. Breakfast on average (if you don't like eggs for breakfast, the situation is sad...).

A fantastic small colonial hotel, located in the city centre and therefore convenient to visit the most characteristic places of Santiago. The staff is very kind and familiar, and helps you meet your needs. Good breakfast, final judgment is excellent, compliments to the director (Jefa) Cecilia. Thanks for the co-op.
