We’ve had the best stay we could have had in Sibenik, it’s a lovely place where discussion with other travelers is easy and you can also take some alone time if you want, plenty of showers and toilets for everyone and everything was spotless
The owner of the Splendido told us about local events and places without which we wouldn’t have had such a nice time in Croatia, she was an essential part of our vacation :)


Perfect experience in Sibenik

Splendido is an amazing hostel! One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. The hostel is very clean. The rooms are very nice. The mattresses are brand new and very comfortable. The bed linen and towels were very clean. The kitchen is fully equipped. The Wi-Fi was fast and stable. The location is perfect - just two minutes from the bus station and three minutes from the ferry terminal. The hostess of the hostel Lyubica is a very nice woman, she told me where to go, what to visit. And the price was very cheap for such quality. I wish all the best to the owner of Splendido, thank you for your hospitality!

clean, welcoming, great location

Stayed in the 8 bed mixed dorms downstairs, clean and sturdy beds with an ensuite for just our room. Well equipped communal kitchen, outside patio area which is a great place to chill out in the evenings. The host was very friendly and liked a chat, would stay here again.

Nice hostel

Lovely hostel run by nice family. Stayed in my own room and it was like a hotel room - was so comfortable. Good location from bus station, old town and sea front. Lovely outdoor garden. Highly recommend

Friendly, comfortable, chilled out hostel

Very well located hostel, very friendly reception with brochures in French, clean and modern rooms, friendly outdoor terrace Do not go if you are looking for a boom-boom atmosphere, it is a family-type hostel, no bar or games No elevator, stairs to the reception

It's perfect.

Came here and stay for a night, booked a bed in an 8-bed mixed dorm for 19 Euros/night. Location is about 10 mins walk from bus station going up a flight of stairs and then uphill. Upon arrival, the owner was very friendly and warm and showed genuine interest in getting to know me / my travel plans and also provide lots of information about Sibenik. 

I normally prefer dorms with fewer beds but when I got to the room, I found that it really doesn't not matter at this hostel, the layout and beds are amazing! The thing I don't like the most about hostels are shaky beds, zero problem here as they are more like cubicles taking full use of the height of the room, you can sit up and not bump your head and others can climb to the top bunk and move and you won't feel a thing. There's a huge drawer at the bottom and they are so big it fitted my 58L backpack + carry on suitcase + my daypack!! The toilet/shower are hotel level grade, super clean, spacious and nice fittings!  

2 small suggestions, I went to bed quite early, people were hanging out and chatting in the garden, not a problem with such but think there should be a curfew or at least quiet down by 11pm? It went on till past midnight. Also one of the guests arrived whilst I was in bed, the owner's son showed her to the room then asked whether it's ok to turn off the aircon, I wasn't sure why but he went on to turn it off already, the room got very stuffy and I started sweating, thank goodness someone else came in afterwards and turned back on the aircon, if everyone is out then of course the aircon should be off but I think if there are guests inside the room, then the staff shouldn't have turned it off. Still a great stay, I always hesitate staying in a hostel but seriously if hostels are like this, I won't hesitate at all.

If only all hostels are like this

The Hostel Splendido offers very affordable accommodation in the old town. We had the deluxe room with its own bathroom. The room seems quite new, but it's quite small. With the large bed, closet and a small table, it's already full. But we slept great. The bathroom is beautifully equipped with a spacious shower. Outside there is a small house in the garden with a fully furnished community kitchen. You can sit very nicely at night on the patio in the courtyard. In the OG there is also a small terrace. At 44 € per night absolutely recommended. The double rooms are even more beautiful in the OG view, but share two bathrooms.

It's great.

The lady who runs this lives upstairs and is super friendly, knows so much about the area and what sights you must see. The atmosphere she has created is very welcoming, met multiple travelers. Very clean, she even cleaned as she showed me around. Would recommend here 100%

Highly recommend

For two nights I stayed at the Hostel Splendido, ten minutes from the centre, five from the seaside and two from the bus stop. The hostel has everything necessary to ensure a pleasant stay for guests. The kitchen is detached from the structure in which there are rooms, but it is located on the lower floor, near the inner garden. Nevertheless, I have to make a note: it was located in a little isolated place and the bathrooms were not many. This meant having to line up to use it.

That's very cozy.

-Excellent location. 5 minutes from the bus station, 10 minutes from the train station and 5 minutes from the historic center. -Excellent treatment of the owner -Excellent room. Wide and with arcade with a lock under the bed. The mattress, something soft for my taste. Each bed has its own light and socket. There is also air conditioning in the rooms. -Excellent garden to rest and share with other backpackers -Correcta cleaning.
