This friendly hotel is located in a quiet residential area and in walking distance from the downtown sites. Rooms are clean and simple and good value for money. Wifi is complimentary. The hotel does not have a lift and is not suitable if you have problems with stairs. 
Breakfast was served at the table and included a variety of cheese, ham and marmelade, but no fruit or cerials.

Good value for money

I had stayed here before and it was very satisfactory. This time was the same. Great location. Friendly staff. Quiet. Great restaurant on site. Very good breakfast for 10 Euros a person. Front seat is NoT manned 24x7, so my rating does not mean it‘s a super hotel - just that it is perfect for the price.

Terrific for the price

Good location, very good walking distance to all the sights of the city, parking space, breakfast was perfect, dinner restaurant very tasty, rooms were neat and new quality, staff very friendly.

Comfortable city hotel

The hotel is centrally located. The pedestrian zone is 300 metres away. The price ratio is good. The hygiene concept, especially at breakfast, is very good. Breakfast in two shifts with reservation required.

Central and affordable

When I first booked the Hotel Alt Weimar, I was aware that I had not booked a normal small hotel room with breakfast, but I was very surprised that it was very centrally located for the affordable price (EC$70.00/USD) (bus stop was located in the opposite corner of the new building, the theater was five minutes' walk away, my favorite restaurants were in the house or around the corner). Fancy apartments in the new annex building

I was here in August 2018, not August 2019 and maybe it did get something. The room was OK, but on the bed and in the bathroom there was hair, the spring heater in the bathroom was polluted, that's not really possible. The TV was wobbly on a small piece of furniture. Even with the windows open unfortunately there was no drain, it was a hot August night. A small fan would be an idea for improvement. The staff are friendly but quite brief. I had a feeling of disturbing. The EZ cost about 55 euros.

Just yet passable city hotel

- perfect location for a tour of Weimar (close to sights but quiet) - very friendly staff - beautiful old building with flair - very good price ratio - Special: Goethe-style food!

Perfect hotel for a short trip to Weimar

My wife and I had booked an apartment in this hotel for a short three-day vacation. The process was carried out via a well-known hotel platform, which was paid for on departure from the hotel. The hotel is located very centrally to the old town and the well-known sights in the cultural city of Weimar, at the corner of Preller/Steubenstraße. Everything is easily accessible on foot and easily accessible from the hotel, about 200m, where there is a bus stop for several lines. Our apartment was located in a newly built building on the very ground floor, about 50m from the outer entrance of the hotel, where you can also find parking spaces for guests at the hotel's earliest hour, a fee of 10€ for an elderly person, and the possibility of getting a full day's drive from the hotel, but the price of the hotel is very small.

Traditional hotel with separate new apartments

I was supposed to check in during the drive, because after 8:00 pm the reception is unoccupied. I did, but if I hadn't, it would have certainly not mattered. For our passage perfectly and close to the city center. Large apartment, functionally a bit old-fashioned and WiFi didn't seem to work. For breakfast selection, there was only one card for 4 guests and yet the choice had to be made almost immediately.

Wakes up old memories.

Old building ..close to centre ..stayed at their lovely apartment ..perfect for small family too.. well equipped ..and well equipped .
Quaint to also walk to their restaurant where you get discount as a guest ..or just make your own meals in the lovely kitchen
