The hotel is nice and cozy.   My room was above the street but suprisingly the room was relatively quiet from outside noise.   The hotel is very central and you can walk to all attractions.  The room had a hot water kettle, wifi, iron and a tv.  The TV only had a few local channels.  There is no room safe.   The staff was friendly.   The hotel is located to the side of a  bar so if you arrive and no one answers the hotel door you need to walk into the bar and the people behind the bar will check you in.  The bar is owned by the hotel.

Basic But Convenient Location and Clean

Once again the Coronation did not disappoint. The staff are so friendly, the room clean, the amenities comfortable. This is not a 5 star hotel and does not claim to be.  Considering its location (very handy), the rooms are surprisingly quiet. After a night out at a concert, it was lovely to enjoy a drink at the bar before retiring. Again we (somewhat senior citizens) were made to feel most welcome.

A bit shout out to Hotel Manager Travis. A friend staying had a medical incident while out and about. She returned to the hotel to grab a few things and head to Accident and Emergency. Travis kept a cool head, showed kindness and  rather than order a taxi, insisted on escorting my friend to a nearby taxi rank as much quicker. This was so appreciated. 

A small treasure

Basic smallish room (which we only slept in) with ensuite, clean, comfortable, quite.  Woolworth supermarket right outside, light rail transport amazingly close. We felt that we were in the centre of things. Affordable rate for us as we were budget conscious. 

Great place to stay when on a budget

This hotel has a fantastic location. We can see the QVB from the window, and Woolies is next door. Staff are friendly, dinner last night was excellent. Room clean, basic, but that's ok. Comfy bed, hot shower, TV and air conditioning, coffee and tea facilities all good. 

Overnight in Sydney for shopping. 

Rooms were nice, clean, and have a great location. Easy access to the cruise port. Short tram ride  less than block away from Hotel. Glen and James and the rest of the staff are super awesome to hang out with at the pub. Make sure you tell them Mr. HAHN sent you there for a pint of Hahn Beer.

Can't go wrong with this basic hotel. Excellent location, couldn't be better, tremendously easy to get to from airport but also access everywhere with the adjacent public transportation. Clean. Comfy. Great staff. Great vibe. A little noisy as there are people in the nearby square 24/7 but definitely didn't disturb us too much.

Great place, great vibe, great value

This hotel is part of a pub and when we arrived we were told that on checkout there would be no-one available and to put the keys under a door.  There is not always someone available- this proved to be a bit of a problem.  The bedroom was clean and acceptable apart from only a few hangers for your clothes and limited drawer space.  We were living out of our suitcases.  I had two watches with me and decided to put my gold watch in my suitcase as my other watch needed daylight to extend the battery.   There is no safe in the room.  Unfortunately my gold watch disappeared.  I went to report it and there was only bar staff available who didn't seem that helpful and told us to let the .know the following morning - they said not to go to the police until we had seen him.   We decided to go to the police station however, as we were checking out the following day to return back home to England.  It seems strange to me that we had been originally told that no-one would be in when we were checking out and then suddenly they were.  We searched all over the room and through both cases but to no avail.  I am saddened that this happened right at the end of a lovely holiday.  I would not recommend this hotel although it is in a good location.

Bad Experience

I booked a family room at this hotel last June for our stay this coming Christmas and new year. However, I just received email informing  me that my reservation has been cancelled due to shortage of hotel staff because of pandemic, and the hotel won’t operate this coming Christmas season. Never did I experience a hotel canceling paid reservations, only this one. For this, I will never book this hotel again.

Unreliable

Stayed only one night, check in was done smoothly by James, the room was clean, beds comfortable, tea and coffee was available and the complimentary bottles of water was a nice touch.  Town Hall Station a minute walk away and Hyde Park was less than 5 minutes away.  Definitely a nice place to stay and very reasonably priced.

Just right

I stayed here in a family room with my parents as we were on holiday from the UK. The hotel is clean through out and always smelt nice. The room was cleaned both days we were there and we had fresh towels daily, the room was spotless! There was also complimentary bottled water in the room. The staff were friendly and attentive and the receptionist was knowledgeable. There is a bar underneath the hotel which has a lovely atmosphere and you can get a good meal there too. The beer is also good! Over all, I can't recommend this hotel enough! We had a lovely stay and it's central to most things.
