I stayed here with a tour group. The place is dismal and dark and run down. It reminded me of a 1960’s hotel. It had a grubby feel to it. There are unnecessary trip hazards in the doorway to the room and the bathroom. There is some weird hard covering round the bed, like a box structure, which is concealed by the dismal bed cover so people were banging their legs and toes. The shower head pipe was split so water cascaded down the wall and onto the floor. The bottom of the shower curtain was filthy. The toiletries were absolutely minimal and basic. No water was left in my room apart from the first day. The dining room was dingy and old fashioned and the food was basic. The towels were grey and hard and frayed. One of the bedside lights was not working at all and the other one, which did not match, needed brute force to turn it on. I used a travel adaptor plug which worked perfectly well at other hotels but it would not stay in the socket at this one.   I was not the only one in the group to experience this. the catches on some of the secondary glazing on the windows were broken so they could not be closed. It made me wonder if anyone ever checked the condition of the rooms. Wifi was slow and intermittent. It was absolutely the worst hotel that I stayed in in Uzbekistan.   On the plus side, the bedding was fresh and changed daily and the desk staff were friendly.

Dismal place to stay in Samarkand

This was our worst accommodation during our stay in Uzbekistan. The only good thing about this Hotel is the location -  walking distance to Registan.
It looks like a Soviet era Hotel (wich could be nice but...) the Breakfast room is depressing with no natural light (!); breakfast is 100% Uzbek - coffee was 2.000 som extra!!
There is no botle of water or kettler in the room.


Depressing hotel in a good location

The hotel is decent and staff are helpful ... the room are big and decently clean ... breakfast is good and fresh but options are a little less ... good stay for 1 -2 nights maximum.. WIFI is available all through the hotel.. 

Decent hotel for 1-2 nights maximum 

Stayed here for 2 nights with a tour group. The hotel was fine, it just seemed to lack any kind of personality. As with all Uzbek hotels the breakfast selection was quite basic but there was a small cold swimming pool on the other side of the rear car park which I was able to make use of one afternoon 

Bland but Functional 

Had to stay here for one night as I could not get my desired hotel for my whole trip. The hotel is located in a more local style area but harks back to the soviet era. Room was okay but the place just lacks life and a soul.

Soviet Era Hotel

The hotel is very centric and very modern. It has all ammenities and a nice breakfast. It is very clean.
Employees are very helpful and you can hire a massaje and there are a gym, and things like those. It is great.
In front of the hotel there is a typical uzbek food restaurant. I recommend it.
Nice hotel.

A nice place to stay

Spent 2 nights here as part of a group tour. The hotel is very Russian style....dour and unappealing. Hotel staff were quick to attend to our luggage when we arrived. But after that they offered little help getting bags to our rooms

The room i had was a reasonable size, with plenty of cupboard space and a good TV (BBC/CNN/ China Global News). Wi Fi was very intermittent. The bathroom was clean with minimal toiletries. Bath towels were small, grey and very dirty. They were from a bygone era.

The staff did their very best they could in looking after us during the stay. But they seemed overwhelmed by a group of 10 from Australia and Europe. I did have some laundry done which was returned within 8 hours, very cheap and very well pressed and cleaned. (The hotel would not hand over the clothes until I had paid for them) (cash only, no card and no adding to my accoun!!)1

The breakfast was unappealing but at least provided food that would sustain until lunch time. Eggs were cooked en masse and left to get cold in large bain-marie. The coffee was awful.

The hotel was very close to Rajistan square

The main requirements for this traveller were good bed, good shower, good nights rest. The hotel ticked all those boxes. It is OK but nothing spectacular

GOOD SLEEP, ORDINARY BREAKFAST.....GOOD LOCATION

The location is good..you can walk to Registan square. Small reception area and not very well lit or fresh look. Room we stayed was fair sized with enough space to move. However poor service.They charge for water :( . AC in our room did not work. Free wi fi had good speed. Breakfast spread was limited. Breakfast area is very small. Overall a stay only for their location.
