Nice little hotel.

The hotel is good for business as well as privat short stays. There is a parking lot in the underground garage, which is quit difficult to park because of the tiny space, but with patience it will do. The reception is friendly. The room was clean and good size with good and free wifi. The bathroom had only one sink and a shower (and toilet). Shower came with a curtain which I don't like so much (you probably know why). Beers and refreshments available at all times, just write down your room number and pay in the morning. The breakfast was great; intercontinental ... everything in place. Good coffee :-). One minor, with open windows, you hear the metro passing by, even with a room on the backside of the hotel. Close the windows is the message.

Nice

The hotel, which is located in a quiet residential area, has an open low-level garage, but is only suitable for medium-sized cars. After 9 p.m. the reception is not occupied, the key is then on the vending machine. Sympathetic train: drinks are available at a fair price from the refrigerator, paid for the next morning. My large, simple softwood furniture, equipped with double rooms, provides space for longer periods of storage - even if not enough. The well-dimensioned TV only offers a few private, otherwise shopping and very convenient channels. The beds are very convenient so that I don't have to spend a lot of time on the morning after reading the program, so I don't have to send a series of instructions to other guards, but I'm not sure if I'm going to have a problem with it. I'm not sure if I'm going to have a room with a TV, but I'm going to have to have a room with the next room with a maximum of four people, I'm not sure. I'll have to have to hang up the next room with a TV

Solid accommodation with organisation needed for improvement

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel and I find that 400€ for a room with a double bed and a single bed with a poor bed (hard and grinding every time you move). Especially do not leave the window open or in the morning you will be awakened by the tram and cars. Otherwise the room and the hotel are clean. There is a parking lot. Breakfast at 8€ is fine. The staff is nice.

A little expensive hotel.

Stayed 1 night in late Jan 2018.

The location isn't close to the city center, around 30min tram from it. It is alright since the tram station is ard 8min walk. Stuttgart hotel is pretty expensive and this one its price is reasonable. 

The reception opens a limited time, so please do inform them your expected check-in time so they will instruct you the self check-in procedure. However the passcode they provided for us didn't work, we contacted the staff through the "ring" at the door. After communicating for several times (which they seem do not understand what I am saying), the staff were unwilling to come down/show up. After 20min back and forth conversation, they provided us a new passcode to get the roomkey so we were able to get in. 

We got the room on the top floor, which you have to walk 1 floor stair up because the lift doesn't reach the top floor. The room is spacious with 1 double bed and 1 single bed (which I booked 1 double bed only). The room is clean and tidy. Got heater but not AC.

We informed the hotel we will store the luggage after check out and will come back at 1pm through email after booking, and got positive reply from them. However, on the check out day, the staff told us it was impossible because the reception is closed from 12 - 4. After neogitation, luckily, they were willing to stay for one hour more at the hotel for us. 

In general the hotel is a decent and budget one. There were few troubles during the check-in and check-out, apart from that everything went smooth.

Budget hotel in Stuttgart

A simple, clean hotel with a very recommended breakfast. Certainly not a vacation spot, but to stay in the city is recommended. We were at least positively surprised. The staff are very friendly and hospitable.

It's good to be back.

I stayed at this hotel on July 9 and found it on Booking.com. The special Sunday night rate was £34 on the internet. Instead of booking it on line I went to the hotel direct thinking that by booking it direct I would get this price and the hotel would get a better margin.

The hotel was fine and whilst the Reception didn’t open until the evening I gained access to the room via a call on the telephone.

I was charged €47 or the equivalent of £43. By helping the hotel I got a worse price, The guy on Reception must have thought I was a fool. If I had booked on line then he would have got less than £34. I didn’t complain but obviously I won’t stay there again.

Still cheap i know but it was a small hotel in the suburbs.

Too Clever

Loved the staff. Went out of their way to help. Clean & comfortable. Close to Porsche museum & factory. Lift, good breakfast. Bakery next door. A few pizza places close by that also serve a variety of other food. There is a tram line in front of hotel to go other places. We also used taxi which hotel staff arranged for us. Overall a wonderful place. Thank you Hotel Freihof!

Very accommodating staff.

I don't want to go back there. The room was old-fashioned. In the hallway, it smelled like cigarette smoke, although it was advertised as a non-smoking hotel. The breakfast room was nice, breakfast satisfying. Rather, it was for mountaineers who love the homey.

Old hotel with rooms in need of accommodation

Our party of four found this reasonably-priced accommodation for our visit to the Porsche museum and factory. The hotel is quaint, and the staff is very helpful (I only wish my German skills were better!) The rooms were comfortable, wifi was iffy, but the breakfast for 7 Euro was worth every penny. No nightlife to speak of, but there was a nice bakery just down the street for coffee and cake. Free underground parking and close to the tram station rounds out this hotel's major benefits.
