A quiet hotel and a great starting point for hiking with a very familiar atmosphere. We had a large and modernly furnished room. Breakfast leaves no wishes open. We received good tips for our daily walks from the extremely nice hosts.

Perfect for a short vacation

Just 5 mins walk to the center of Lech. Very friendly family run hotel. Super clean. Traditional look with all modern equipment. Warm rooms with comfortable beds. Ample parking. Delicious breakfast. 24 honor system coffee, drinks and snacks in lobby. Very quiet. Beautiful views all around. Definitely our go to place forever.

Absolutely wonderful rooms, beds, breakfast, drinks, location and hospitality

This is my second time at the Larcherhof and I had a wonderful time there. I was spending a week snowboarding in Mayrhofen and the neighbouring resorts.The hotel is run by Katharina and her family and on arrival you are immediately felt welcome. The rooms are cosy and warm. They are spotlessly clean and comfortable with lots of wardrobe space and a generous en-suite bathroom. Breakfast is always a pleasure to look forward to with lots of local produce. The hotel is not situated in the centre of Mayrhofen so the evenings are very peaceful. You can reach the centre of Mayrhofen by a 15 minute walk or order a taxi from reception. The hotel has lots of parking outside and a large underground car park for guests. I did not drive but it is good to know if I return with a car. The ski bus stop is just outside the hotel and it is really easy to get to and from the slopes. One useful tip is to get the ski bus to the Horbergbahn, it gets you to the same place and queues are often shorter than the Penkenbahn. In the evening I hang out in the hotel bar and drink beer and the local schnapps. I have had another lovely week at the Larcherhof and I look forward to returning very soon.

A truly wonderful place to stay.!

Everything about this hotel is 5 star, from the family who run it to the location and the immaculate rooms with so much space for ski clothing and the most comfortable beds, with white crisp linen. The bathrooms have heated floors. Heated room for ski equipment. Huge variety for breakfast, which kept us going all day. Ski bus stops immediately outside for all ski lifts. A taxi into town is 3 euros per person if you don’t fancy the 20 min flat, pretty walk after a day skiing. Will definitely be returning.

Xmas 2018

The hosts are unsurpassed, so much warmth and attention cannot be overlooked. The rooms are clean and friendlyly decorated. The breakfast buffet is full of products from our own farm, very tasty. Good tips for excursions in the area, opening hours of restaurants e.t.c. are provided by the dedicated hosts. And a slide was also provided for our youngest for the time of stay. The whole family is united, over and over again in Larcherhof.

Feelings of well-being from beginning to end

I stayed here for 6 days it surpassed my expectations. The rooms are spacious with excellent en suite facilities. I had a balcony with a magnificent view of the mountains for enjoying a beer at the end of the day. I had a hire car but it would not be essential as there is a bus stop closeby. The walk into town takes about 15-20min and is very pleasant. The breakfast was very good and well presented. I would definitely recommend the hotel Garni Larcherhof for winter or summer holidays.

Perfect family run hotel

Second stay (first stay 3 years ago) at the Larcherhof owned by the Eberharter family. Very friendly home, very clean rooms, garden with long chairs available, nothing to say about this establishment located in the Hollenzen district. A small half hour walk to the city centre. Otherwise, two nearby restaurants located 5 minutes walk away and the Sennerei not far away also for lunch sandwiches.

Family hotel and charming hospitality

I'll also write this review in English. We came to this hotel, for 2 days, with a group of friends and I have to say that we had a good time. The rooms are clean, well maintained. The bathrooms are excellent. The hotel is located on the secondary road leading to Mayrhofen, 3 km from the centre, and as you can see from the photos, the view is excellent. The hotel is well equipped to accommodate families with lots of games in the garden. Our guest room included breakfast, simple, but with everything necessary.

Pleasant Hotel / Good Hotel

I have just returned from a week snowboarding in Mayrhofen and had a wonderful time. The Larcherhof is a beautiful hotel located just outside of Mayrhofen in an area called Hollenzen. The hotel is traditionally designed in the Alpine style and has a warm and cosy feeling to it. The rooms are generous in size and spotlessly clean. The hotel is run by the Eberharter family who make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. Breakfast consists of local cheeses, meats, breads, boiled eggs and cereals, more than enough to start the day.

There is a ski bus stop just outside the hotel which takes you to the Horbergerbahn gondola in under 10 minutes. The Horbergerbahn is much less congested than the Penkenbahn and will get you to the top of the mountain much quicker. Equally I would recommend taking this gondola at the end of the day as the queues at the top of the Penkenbahn can be quite horrendous. The purple Line D bus from Horbergerbahn gets you back to the Larcherhof, just make sure you push the stop button on the bus or tell the driver that you want to stop at Larcherhof as he sometimes sails by.

There is no evening meal service at the hotel but they do have a bar to relax in with Zillertal Pils on tap. There are a few decent local restaurants within easy walking distance which serve traditional Tirolian cuisine. I can thoroughly recommend the river Trout which is a local speciality.

The only downside is that you are a little out of town and sometimes you miss the liveliness of central Mayrhofen, however the ski bus takes a few minutes to get into town. You can walk it in about 15-20 minutes which is a really pleasant walk. A taxi costs about 5 euros.

It is well worth visiting the other ski resorts in the valley, Zell am Ziller and Kaltenbach can be accessed via the free train. Hintertux via a bus from Mayrhofen station.

I would really recommend the Larcherhof as a place to stay, especially to those with families as it is so peaceful. I look forward to returning soon.

A beautiful hotel in a tranquil part of Mayrhofen.

I stayed in this bed&breakfast from January 15 to 18 with my wife and daughter and I have to say that we were really good. The structure is very beautiful, in total Tyrolean style and has parking, ski room, satellite TV (but you can't see any Italian channel), small playground. We booked an apartment with a wedding room and a cot for the baby and when we entered we were amazed at how big it was.
