We booked this hotel six months ago to go to the Christmas concert that takes place every year in this town. We liked the look of it as it was less corporate as a hotel and with all prices being inflated for the concerts this seemed reasonable value at £120 a night. How wrong can you be!
When we arrived it looked like our local spit and sawdust druggy pub, not an upmarket boutique hostelry. After booking in at the till in the pub we were taken up two flights of stairs which were incredibly steep without a handrail of hall lighting. Not very good if you had to evacuate the floors quickly in the event of an incident, but that was not the best bit, no, that came in our room! Two beds, no headboards, dirty sheets and pillows and best of all a convector heater as heating, bearing in mind it was -3 already at 3.30pm! and no heating at all in the bathroom. 
On complaining we were offered another convector heater, oh the luxury of two electric heaters! By now we had decided not to stay here as it was positively cold and unsafe.
We then handed back the key to be told we still would pay as we had passed the cancellation date on the booking. so it cost us 90 euros not to stay there! 
Please be aware of this place ripping people off because of the Christmas concerts near by. If it had been next to a station and £35 a night it probably would be reasonable value but charging over £100 is daylight robbery.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

The hotel is well located in the centre of the city. Frontpark parking (10 euros 24 hours), located 10 minutes' walk away. Price too high for service. The room (11) was poorly soundproofed as well as the bathroom. The stairs (no elevators) are not practicable (too pentus) for the elderly or those with health problems. The bed was comfortable but the living mattress had a wallet.

For young people visiting the city without too much expectation of comfort

Absolutely recommend. I hadn't smoked shisha in a long time here. The opportunity came when we were in Maastricht with friends. We ordered ourselves blueberries and various mojitos. Super delicious with fresh mint. Absolutely recommend. The gentlemen are super nice and friendly.

This is an absolute recommendation.

We paid a way too much high price (78€) for what they offer. The bathroom is separated from the bedroom and you have to go through the corridor in order to access it. The bathroom equipment was very poor as well, without even hand soap. As for the bedroom, it looked clean but we found something that was not ours on the floor.
The attention by the hosts was good nevertheless. 

Poor and expensive

Came to Maastricht for the weekend to see Andre Rieu and stayed here.
Staff were absolutely amazing they’re went beyond helpful.
Hotel was ok, beds were comfortable, towel were really soft, my only gripe was the dangerous staircase to our rooms, it was a nightmare, if there was a fire you would never get out alive.
Anyone with walking difficulties stay away.
As I said amazing guys.

This type of accommodation is nit for me.

The rooms of this hotel are located above a Sisha bar, which is well visited in the evening. It is still quite quiet. The rooms can be reached by a side door. Each room is nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. The hotel is located very centrally right at the town hall around the corner, so you can quickly and easily reach bars and restaurants for dinner and breakfast. The staff immediately securely accommodated our bikes.

Nice hotel in good condition

Awesome central location, clean and tidy, friendly staff. Loved the theme and our room was lovely. Our bathroom was not part of the room, separate but opposite to our room so not an issue. Steep staircase to access our room, not an issue for my son and I but could be for some people, room could do with better lighting.  Overall recommend this hotel!

Good value for money

The hotel is nice, inside there's also a shisha bar where we can spend some time. The owner, very kindly, also offered us a free upgrade, giving us a very nice room, and it's bigger than we booked.

It's a great solution.

Stayed for Andre Rieu concert evening, paid £130 for what was a very basic, small room in the attic. The place have no hotel facilities other than a bar area where you can check in and have very basic breakfast (for an extra EUR10 per person!) . The rooms accessible through narrow and steep staircases. Bathroom had no showerscreen, lack of towels, there were holes with electric cable hanging out both bathroom and bedroom. Bed bases soiled and mattress very old and uncomfortable. One of the worst accommodations we ever stayed at. Acceptable standards for a hostel but not a hotel or guest house. Avoid

Not much of a hotel but bar with rooms

Once arrived, we checked in from the bar as there is no reception. In that bar you can smoke the water pipe, which was done by a lot of people. There was an unpleasant smell for us. The hotel was through another door, and once in the room, we noticed that the room was nice, clean and no bad smell at all.
After all, a good hotel in the city center and good value.
