Hermagor-Pressegger See

We stayed from December 26th to January 2nd in the junior suite with my family. Clean rooms, very large, good breakfast, excellent afternoon snack with cake and soup, an abundant dinner of Austrian cuisine, can only be disappointed by those who expect Italian cuisine. Unfortunately there was no snow during the period we spent, so we anticipated the departure. Here the owner was very kind, without any penalty, we left the room in the highest season three days before. Praiseworthy the treatment received, what else to say, a behavior that is truly to be appreciated and noted.

We stayed in the Radnighof from 27th December until the 3rd January and a really good time.  The rooms are a good size and are well maintained.  The owners have chosen their staff really well and we were really well looked after.  The food is good with lots of extras such as apres ski soup and cake as well as a day where we got the chance to sample the home made Apple Wine.  Good sauna area for the size of the hotel. Just 2 things I would have changed - it would be nice if there was a proper bar area and it would have been helpful to have an itinerary of what is happening at the hotel i.e. what time dinner starts particularly on New Years Eve.

Great rooms, good food and great staff

We would like to thank Evi and Karl-Heinz and your team for the hospitality they showed us at the turn of the year. We are always happy to come to the small hotel in Carinthia with its particularly good cuisine and beautiful surroundings. Although it is a long way from Switzerland, we are already looking forward to our next visit, on a vacation with friends.

It's a wonderful little hotel in a wonderful location. It's perfect for hiking or skiing. It's a very nice family of owners who read every wish from your lips.

We've been to the beautiful Radnighof several times - summer and winter. Once as a couple, now as a family. The Steinwender family spoils us with culinary delicacies and read us every wish from our eyes.

Radnig is a rural hamlet on a hill a few kilometres from Hermagor, a very nice village (the name comes from santErmagora) of the valley of the Gail, which borders on the southern slope with Italy  the main pass is that of Pontebba. The whole area is decidedly hospitable and equipped for tourism: our hotel was among the 150 facilities that offered free admission both to the resort and playground of Lake Presmagor, 5-6 km away, and to the resort facilities of Nassfeld more or less at the same time: which means the possibility of spending entire days with the sole expense of lunch. The small hotel is in a quiet and convenient area, and the memorable dining room is convenient, although the oldest restaurants and restaurants in Radnig are also fully open. We're  just back from a week staying at 'Radnighof '. We returned to Radnighof  after an amazing holiday last year and once again were incredibly impressed by the amazing accommodation, food and hosting. Nothing is too much trouble for Karlheinz and Evelin and the rest of the wonderful team. Karlheinz and Evelin are the most amazing hosts, friendly, patient, accommodating and fun. 
The nearby modern ski resort Nassfeld (15 min drive) is a superb skiing destination with much choice for everyone, and literally a few steps from Italy. Also if you take a Goldski pass you will have more than 25 ski resorts in Karnten, including places like Molltaller Gletcher and Turaher Hohe. 
Back to the hotel where Evelin reigns. The gourmet restaurant gave us some delicious food – inventive and creative. Breakfast was included and had a nice range of different sausages, ham, cheese, eggs etc. There were 2 brands of draft beer, both fascinating, and good selection of wines. All together - at this great price range, with this tasty food and especially, this warm n nice welcome - Full 5 Stars!

Second year in row - whats more to say?

my family and I stay at radnighof at least once a year - and it has been now ten years or more -. it is a pleasure every time because not only the hotel itself is very nice but the hosts are friendly, kind and very helpful. rooms are spacious and super clean, they vary both in style and actual space; food is good and the hotel also has a very big garden where you can linger while having a delicious slice of cake and a cup of coffee.
kids and pets friendly. highly recommended.

wonderful quiet hotel

We stayed at the hotel for 5 days. Very well maintained house with beautiful rooms. Quietly situated with a family atmosphere. Very friendly and hospitable owners who warmly welcome the guest. Highlighting is the sophisticated kitchen with the best ingredients in the region. It is very well cooked here! That's why it's worth staying. The house is well located as a starting point for many enterprises in the region. We can only recommend a stay.
