Desk manager Veronica was stunningly helpful and kind.  Everybody on staff were friendly and made my stay comfortable and easy.  The Hotel is quiet at night, often has a breeze in the broad open areas, and it is very clean.  The decor of the lobby and other open spaces is beautiful and calming.  You are only two blocks from a great little square, a little corner store to buy refreshments and snacks, several good restaurants very close, and you're only about five blocks to the Plaza Principal.  They will also help you set up a tour that will pick you up at the door.  [Thanks to "Sammie" and "Mario" for the great trip to the Mayapan ruins and especially the three great cenote swimming visits and surprisingly the best lunch during the trip!]

Great Staff, Location, Friendly and Helpful

This hotel is in a nice part of Merida centro. It has a very lovely central courtyard though the pool seems larger in the pictures than in reality. It seemed popular with the residents though. There is a small eatery attached that can give you a very reasonably priced breakfast. The ladies who run it are lovely. Actually all the staff were great. The staff is probably the best part of this hotel. They helped me with so many things from laundry to how much a taxi should cost, always patient and pleasant. The rooms are definitely a bit tired but serviceable. The housekeeping staff kept everything clean and stocked. I did enjoy the honey shampoo, but not a lot of hot water, though the heat makes that ok. Also there are four floors and no elevator so if stairs are a problem keep that in mind when making a reservation. There is a very inexpensive and very yummy taco shop across the street. Overall good value for money.

Lovely public spaces and super staff

First of all, the hotel was very beautiful and was in a perfect location. The hotel was in the city center. Our first night, the air conditioning made noise all night long even though we turned it off, so we didn’t sleep well. After complaining the next day we got a room upgrade! The second room was very luxurious and we had a good night sleep. The pool was also very nice even though it was quite small!

Beautiful hotel for a low price!

Got there at night but the reception was there, waiting. The lobby is really great and comfortable. There are 3 areas
Where you can sit and a small pool, a very small affair is right off the lobby.

Getting to the room is a corridor with chairs and tables and flowers and plants, Very pretty.

Got to the room and was happy. Small (245 sq feet) but comfortable.
The bathroom was also small (27 sq feet). No space for toiletries.
There is a table for the computer and a chair but be careful, the table is not a table but a cupboard so you can knock your knees if you are not careful.

Air conditioning and fan. The air conditioning is loud so you cool your room and then use the fan.

The location is close to a park, the Santa Lucia, which has several restaurants.

Very recommendable.

Great location

Decent Hotel, very good price.  Street entry not very inviting, until you step in.  /Then it is quite charming.  Friendly employees, quiet and restful, very close to the city center, and activities.  Easy walk to lots of nice places.
TV would not work, in spite of lots pf employee tinkering, which made it work for short periods.  Toilet did not refill reliably in spite of employee tinkering.  Bathroom floors deadly slippery, a problem we have found frequently in Southern Mexico. (Get an extra big towel, and spread it on floor)
We would be happy to stay here again.

Very average / does the job If you need a night or two in Merida. The room was very basic and run down but clean enough and towels changed daily. 

Wifi was poor unless in lobby. Hotel grounds and communal ambience was nice. Very good location & close to everything

Does the job if you need a bed for the night

This had the potential tp be a lovely colonial hotel in a gorgeous town, it was however very tired,the sheets were not clean ( we had to rearrange the bedding so that we had 2 clean sheets from the 2 beds in our room, the garden outside was full of litter and the bathroom a bit mouldy. 

more than a bit tired

This hotel isn’t the nicest hotel but gets the job done.

My room was pretty dirty when I came in. I unravelled the bathmat to find a hair in it. The shower had a hair ball in it when I got there too and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. The rugs inside the room were very dirty and needed hoovering. The corners and windows needed polishing. There were some flies sitting inside my room sink too. The towels were okay but stained. 

The reception is quite nice and comfortable with lots of seating and areas to sunbathe as well.

There are queues to speak to a member of staff at reception and there is no phone in the room.

WiFi doesn’t work in rooms so you have to go to reception to use it. 

The hot water is only on during certain times so check with reception. The shower water pressure is low.

Location is good as it’s just a five min walk from the main square. 

Overall it’s fine - it’s quiet so you can get a good sleep and the bed is comfortable. 



Gets the job done but hair in bathroom

Stayed here 2 nights. 
No restaurant, bottled drinks available at reception. 
Rooms good size, beds terrible, pillows worse. 
Toilets hardly flush and smells, dripping sink taps, shower head that sprays everywhere but down. No bathroom mat provided and towels smelt. Luke warm water. 
Wouldn’t stay again.
