When you look an overall of the room, it seems nice. But the bedsheets are terrible, the mattress completely wasted and dirty, the pillow is a nightmare. Bathroom also dirty. 
The blanket old and dirty.
They don’t clean the room while you are staying. 
Bathroom also dirty. The sink was leaking.
The only good thing is the location. Near the city center.

@10.30 pm.. Room service guy told me that they r closing services for day so nothing will be provided.. 

Have to give multiple reminders to clean room.

Worst experience ever

I visited this hotel with my family, their service is worst in all aspects i have ever experienced... Mirrors are cracked, Water is not available, no cook in the hotel, Moreover they charge you extra for what they have committed.. Worst thing is they dont even have first-aid service... Dont know how they got the licence to run this hotel.. Terrible Experience.. Must be avoided...

Disgusting Service...

This was nightmarish experience. I stayed in this hotel for a night with family. I booked two rooms via Oyo, thinking of trying them once. I must say i did a mistake ! The so called 'oyo captains' were not available first when i tried their number, on raising complains, they did offer to change the room, by that time it was too late. 
In this hotel one has to ask for everything, I kept asking for towels, soaps etc, then only they provided, perfectly knowing of my arrival, one day in advance !

One of the most striking feature of this hotel is the dangerously horrible wood work in the rooms. The edge of furniture, cupboards etc are very sharp and pointy and actually ended up hurting few of us. 
The rooms were not ready for occupation, still they offered these to guests. The bathroom door knob was broken and on complaining about this the manager / receptionist replied that in none of their rooms, bathrooms can be locked ! which was untrue off-course. The tissue holder came out of the wall when tried to be used!
There was a nail on the wall of cupboard which punctured hand of one of my family member, the hotel did nothing on complaining. 
In my view operating license of this hotel must be cancelled. These folks are not fit of doing any kind of service business.

Horrible. Must be avoided.

I remember this hotel as the worst I've ever seen in India. Dirty linen. I asked to change it because it stains and the waiter looked at me like I was crazy. I insisted and he brought me even dirtier linen. Under the carpet were all kinds of animals. But the view is very beautiful.

Hotel Shivalik is located in the heart of Mcleodanj just after the market and has excellent view of the valley if you're staying in any room on the 1st floor - this is since all rooms open up to a huge common terrace overseeing the valley and the market place. Perfect place to hang out and have a drink or food while enjoying the scenic beauty. Service is average and so is the food. Best rated 3 star per Indian standards so don't expect any frills - yes it does have warm water and cable TV but when in Mcleodganj TV is the last thing you'd want to be glued to. Cheap to stay in place and value for money.
