We liked the hotel room very much, we had suite rooms, it was top 👍the location is very central. Breakfast was very tasty and rich very, nice staff, next time we are in Trier we will definitely book the hotel again.

It's a great top hotel.

I had been here three nights in July from work. When I arrived, I suspected bad things when I saw the troubled train station lobby. The room I got was then located just next to this square. A very nice room with a comfortable bed and even a small bottle of wine included. The bathroom was very small and came in years but enough. I gave the room a chance and hoped for the best. Unfortunately, the first night was disastrous. Buses, screaming people and the noise of the nightly railway works at the railway station. I asked for another room and got one to the top of the smoker's yard with a very nice staircase and another at the top and thanking the staff. The tip was very enthusiastic. The timber was very light. I had a super clear view, and I knew how to sleep well. Unfortunately, I also had a bad sleeping experience. But, of course, if I had a new bus, I might still have to get a lot of it done.

Nothing for people with a little sleep

Convenient location next to the station without any disturbance from trains. Comfortable room and good breakfast at a reasonable cost. About a ten minute walk into the city and there is a nice Greek restaurant (Delphi) nearby. A niggle - there is an open roof terrace for smokers with a curfew time of 22.00. Apart from the slight smell of smoke seeping in through the closed window, the noise of loud coughing and chatter by different guests continued intermittently until about 01.00.

Handy station hotel

This hotel really exceeded my expectations. I stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights while attending a conference and was very pleased with the service. I can't stress how friendly and helpful the staff was, especially the receptionist, and the breakfast was great - they even gave me some gluten free options. Very importantly, the hotel was spotless, and my room and bathroom were very spacious. The location is also great - its right across from the train station which was perfect for me and was less than a ten minute walk from Porta Nigra. There is a taxi stand right outside the hotel that can be used. Had a small wi-fi issue when the wi-fi on my floor went down, but I contacted reception and they quickly reset the router which brought the internet back. As other people have said, they provide a complimentary bottle of wine which is a nice touch.

The tiny issue I had was that there were no English channels on the television except for one channel which was an American religious channel.

Great hotel

The hotel is located in a historic building opposite the train station, which is its convenience. It is a 10-minute walk from the famous Puerto Negra.... It is cool, take warm things and socks with you... In our room the beds were in the corner, very convenient if you are traveling with friends.

Perpendicularly

This hotel is definitely recommended.All staff were always friendly and helpful.The hotel is in a very well-maintained and clean condition.The breakfast is plentiful and sufficient.

I 'd like to go back

We happened to get on a train to Trier, Germany. No plan really but decided to spend the night in a hotel close to the train station. Hotel Vinum is quite unassuming from the outside and the rooms are ‘studio- like’ but very clean. We had more than enough space. But the coolest part was the lovely breakfast in the charming dining room. The history of the hotel itself is captivating, but the breakfast service was a great surprise. Great service, great staff. Thank you

A hidden gem

The one thing I loved about this place was that it was steps from the train station--so, that made going to-and-from the train station so easy and cheap! I didn't mind this fact, but I could see how others might not want to be this close to the station. There is no large street dividing the hotel from the station (as it looks like on Google maps). I could see the steps of the train station from my room--so it's pretty close. 

The room was done in modern decor--I actually like the charm of quirky European hotels--but it was very clean. They were not that generous at all with toiletries/amenities (although there was a free wine bottle). Shower is pretty strange, as it rises about a feet off the ground. If someone is mobility impaired they could not use it--so, I would ask hotel about this if you plan to stay here and this would be an issue for you or a fellow traveler.

Breakfast (included) was good--all European breakfasts are pretty good--this one had some homemade items and was fine for a smaller-sized selection--but not the best I've had. Breakfast room was clean and nice.

Overall, I was not wowed by the hotel but felt safe and could not hear other guests.They had an elevator, which was nice. I left a shirt in the room, however, and the hotel never got back to me about retrieving it. But, overall--I would stay here again if I had to. Like I said, you cannot beat the location--there are a few restaurants nearby. Somewhat a walk to the main attractions of Trier, but the price reflects that.

Alright Hotel, Nice Staff, Clean, Close to Train Station

This was by far one of the better experiences that I had while traveling in Germany, local hotel, not a chain, with great charm and wonderful wine! Within a few minutes walk to the Porta Nigra, large shopping gallery and several cathedrals.

Looking for the best location in Trier..... look no further than this gem!

Location: front station, about 600m from the centre and close to a small shopping centre), rooms: spacious and comfortable which however if they give on the station slightly noisy for trains, buses and premises under the hotel, PECCA not indifferent the lack of air conditioning or ventilator and living in the hotel in August is not the maximum (during our stay in Trier there were about 29/30 degrees) BAGNO: normally, without infamy and without praise, PARKING: sweet note if I read private parking because I mean a private facility and closed instead the bathroom is the reception of the station with the bathroom you have up to a day to pay a charge for a day, however, it seems to me that a lot of the information on the car parking is not clear, but it does not seem to me to understand a lot of the information given, however, that the parking lot is a very precise place, and the parking lot is closed instead of the parking lot is the reception of the station with the bathroom with a charge for a day, but I have to pay a charge of 21.40 €, but the rest of the car parking
